Anthony Davis still growing
All of Davis's draft reports had him at 6-10 and 220 pounds. whic was his predraft measurements.
But listening to a radio show the other day Davis was measured in a 6-10 and 7/8 and 230 pounds meaning he has grown almost an inch and gained 10 pounds. This is rare with a guy already at 19 but not impossible there is a chance he could end up at 7ft.
I'm also hearing that he could endup being moved to center where his shot blocking can be taken full advantage of too.
Moving him to center and Jason Smith outside to PF could really work out.

Found this prediction on him too

I'd project Davis' value around early Dwight Howard territory: 10 points, 9 rebounds and 2.0-2.5 blocks a night. Basically somewhere between Roy Hibbert and JaVale McGee, which means mega-block upside.

C makes sense. Hes got a big frame to bulk up too. Before stepping a foot in the NBA he's one of the elite shot blockers in the league.

I just hope we don't put too much pressure on him his first season. He is going to block a lot of shots but we don't need him to try to do too much offensively. I think if anything Rivers is the one who should be shooting his *** off as a rookie.

I'm kinda new at looking at basketball from an evaluating perspective, but a "said" weakness of Davis' is his "Physicallity" "Thin frame", That doesn't sound to me like it bods well for the center position. I'd much rather see A.D. mature in the NAB at his natural spot and bring in(or re-sign) a big that can be physical and create space for Davis.
And again I agree with weightlifter316, pressure will be A.D. worst enemy as it is for 99.999% of all superstar collage atheletes entering the pros. I think he understands he's not going to come in and dominate from game 1, I hope the fans get it too. It''s a process.

He's going to get pushed around in the paint no doubt, but with his length he'll be in position to block shots regardless.

He needs to go to the Dikembe Mutombo school of how to be a great skinny big man who can block the crap out of any shot.

I had a buddy who was borderline NBA talent...he told me that NBA tends to inflate the height measurement. He explained it to me in detail how they do it, but I forget now, it's been a while. Maybe that's all there is to it. I sorta doubt he's still growing.

I find it difficult to believe that he's grown almost an inch in the last two months, basically. Players' height measurements are usually "in shoes." So if he was truly measured at 6-10 7/8, then it would make more sense that he got taller shoes. I'm not saying he won't grow more, but I just think that kind of growth spurt at age 19 seems a little indredulous.

True but his 6'10 measurement could also be from 6 months ago or longer too which would make the 7/8 of an inch more likely. Rookies also go through a physical when they make it to the training facility so it is more than likely the measurement came without shoes.

His last official measurements were taken a month ago at the combine. And its definitely in shoes as Davis is only 6'9.25 in socks.

as far as being too skinny, Dwight Howard was too skinny too when he got drafted. Davis needs to get into whatever training regime that Dwight did, get that Superman build and then he'll be unstoppable in the paint.

Dwight was actually 240 coming into the league.
