scratch the white use the creole green instead, how about black?

The league mandates that all home teams must wear a light colored jersey at home. So if they'd have to wear the gold alts or whites for that purpose...not to sure about a black version but I'll do it for you anyway.

the new FDL is perfect. I did not like the jester one, it looked cheesy. The green should be downplayed though. Purple(creole blue or whatever shade) and gold(Laker,LSU) with just hints of green. Green and purple just dont go well together on a uniform.
That first brass logo was the best. Very classic looking

In all honesty I liked the teal version, my first set better myself. I didn't want it to be exactly teal but more on the green side but I guess to others it was teal no matter what and they wanted the change to the green. Yeah the jester/ball logo was 'cheesy' perhaps but it was just a logo that the league used already so that's why I included it. I thought it would be a great design if you replaced the basketball for a soccer one and made it for the Jesters, but even the logo I did for them and sent to the team didn't garner a response, they just put me on their mailing list! And perhaps too much green does clash with purple...it's easy to use like you said in moderation and IMO the FDL design throws it right at you only because purple has to be the darker base color for the design to work. Trust me I've tried every combination before I even posted that thing! What many don't realize is that teal works better with purple because of the color having blue within it's mix. When the two colors are used side by side and in greater amounts, the eyes tend to merge the shades making it blend naturally in your vision because it picks up the shades of blue within the teal and purple.

Although your designs are supurb, I feel the team is too new to New Orleans to rebrand just yet. If you redesign, that is major money, as well as piss off quite a few fans with Hornets merchandise.

The Hornets have been in New Orleans 3 years longer than the Jazz were...well actually 1 year longer if you consider the time they spent in OKC, besides that, I don't figure there to be a problem with a team re-branding themselves to tie in better to their city. They tried with their font, fleur de bee, horn logo etc. but it's like I said, it looked to similar to the old Charlotte team Shinn had before. Yeah you'd piss off a lot of people I'm sure but then again nobody forces anybody to buy memorbillia it's a prefrence. The NBA incurrs a 2 year window same as the NFL to allow their marketing and the teams marketing to gear up just to make sales and switch to new deisgns.
Chouset taking over the team and re-branding it to make it a true N.O. team would IMO not be as hated as it may seem to be and I think people would expect it with him being from the region. If next year MJ decides to re-brand the Bobcats the Flight and only change the name and logo, everybody in the Carolina's will buy new jerseys because 1) He's an icon 2) He's from there and 3) he now owns their own team. Jordan's motives could be that the name Bobcats was named after the previous owner and thus wanted to change or that the name FLIGHT could be based off of his moniker AIR Jordan, from when he used to play.
