Cp3+Ariza+Melo?
Ariza was the most underrated player on the lakers two years ago. He literally won clutch games vs Denver and played a big part against Orlando
Just like this past year, Kobe always gets the credit. Not gasol. Not artest. Not ariza
The one thing I will certainly credit Kobe for is his willingness to lobby other players - rivals even - for help. I wish cp would be more proactive instead of just complaining

chinny i kinda agree but carmelo murdered him that series, turkgolo and rashard lewis murdered him in the finals, artest was killing him which pushed that series to 7 even kirelenko was killing him in the first rd sure he made a few clutch shots but he missed alot too. its like sugar and salt with him i just dont my fellow saints fans to get high on this guy just to get their feelings hurt but hey i wont say anything else

but the Lakers won all of those series. he won't be the lynch pin in this whole operation with the Hornets, at least not like he was depended on in Houston.

I see what your sayin. Ariza can be volatile but hopefully that changes with more xp.
I would prefer Turk or Melo, but beggars cant be choosers

yea they won but he still couldnt keep up with a teams star 2 or 3,people are gettin the idea that he is a defensive animal he is a pesky perimeter defender but he wont help against carmelo, durant, kobe, brandon roy, tyreke evans those guys got a good mix of offensive moves, now who he would be able to stop is a guy like stephon curry a non physical shooter i never said he was garbage but i did say he was equal to julian wright if he was given the minutes i also said that pondexter is a much aggressive and sure defender than ariza

Only in the sense that I could occasionally knock down a 3 if they left me wide-*** open (and I have a much prettier jump shot, I promise). Ariza consistently shoots in the mid-upper 30 percentile range from deep, and that's with people actually closing out on him since they respect his shot. Not laying 12 feet off him praying he heaves the ball in the direction of the basket.
So in short, no.

can julian wright run fast, jump high, and have electrifying dunks?
|
Only during those brief stretches where he's not literally tripping over his own feet like a newborn giraffe. Even if the answer is assumed to be yes, you need some actual skills to pair with those traits. Usain Bolt probably sucks at basketball.
So no, or irrelevant. Take your pick.

can julian wright play decent defense against a teams bench wing players?
|
No, because of the reasons listed above coupled with the fact that he probably has a hard time remembering what the jersey number is of the guy he's supposed to be guarding.
Yeah he has nice length and can be a disruptive 1 on 1 defender at times, but his team defense still isn't that great and he doesn't anticipate passes nearly as well as Ariza. One of these two players was number six in the league in steals last year and it wasn't the guy who never played.

if the answer is yes to all these youve painted yourself a great picture of trevor ariza
|
Yeah that didn't work out so well.

we had Peja starting at SF and it's hard to believe Ariza is worse than him. I'll take my chances with Ariza before sending Peja out there. SF seemingly was our weakest defensive position (not much better than PF, but you get the picture).
Julian was given the minutes at the beginning of last year. He couldn't hack it. If he was this defensive genius, then why could he not get much playing time over 3 years? He was gifted the starter job last year and was garbage, it was proven. There's no theoretical "if he was given the minutes", because he was given the minutes.

Just another idiot earl post.
Dude said he was gonna "come to laffy and give me what I want" when I told him I would whup him if he came to my city. Now I would prolly just get him arrested by my relatives, then whup him. Ain't the south great? well, for some of us it is.
What a tool........
