Not much can be done about it b/c the doctors have not cleared him to play back-back games yet.. Besides we don't wanna risk injury to our main trading chip this summer. I think he's being played perfectally, Just enough to show other teams how good he is, but not so much that they see how fragile he his.

Seriously doubt any trade involving Gordon happens before July if at all, but Hoopshype was rumuring the New Orleans and Golden State in talks around Gordon.
Just for fun
Lopez & Gordon to the Worriors
Curry & Bogut to the Hornets
Damn the torpedeos and let Roberts and Rivers fight it out at SG for the rest of the season and draft Marcus Smart.

supposedly gordon for klay thompson being discussed
They'd have a lot of work to do to make the money work on that deal. Adding Jefferson would square the $$, but IMO thats a lot for GS to give up for a questionable SG health wise.

GS wouldn't mind dumping Jefferson. That would, almost certainly, be the trade (Klay/Jefferson for Gordon)
And it makes a ton of sense for both team but for one point.
Klay Thompson is a potential all-star but he is, at the moment (and possibly forever) nothing but a spot up shooter. He's a rich mans JJ Redick. Golden State already has a spot up shooter who struggle to create his own shot in Stephen Curry, and Curry is better than Thompson. They have Jarrett Jack playing crunch minutes with Thompson on the bench because of this, because they need a ball handler out of the pick and roll who can go to the hoop. Ideally this would be Gordon, putting Jack back in the bench. AND they get to dump Jeffersons $10 million next year? Superficially it actually sounds like they need to toss in a first rounder to even it up.
For the Hornets, they can easily absorb Jeffersons dead money. Lewis' $13 million in dead money comes off the books this year so Jeffersons deal is paid for next, we still have the max level cap space in 2013/2014, and double max level space in 2014/2015. Jefferson probably doesn't even play for us, we just buy his deal out ala Lewis.
Thompson is not as good as Gordn obviously, but he has a potential ceiling around there and even as is is a deadly marksman which makes him useful immediately. And he's on a rookie deal.
But, of course, the "one thing" is Eric Gordon is hurt, and possibly sulking like a brat.
If Golden State can talk themselves into Gordn rebounding it makes sense for them to pull the trigger now. Their team is starting to flounder and at this rate are a first round exit if they don't fall out of the playoff race all together. Gordon is a legit 4th quarter franchise guy when healthy which they desperately need, and if Gordon and Bogut are both 100% going into the playoffs nobody wants to play GS.
But the Hornets leverage is definitely reduced, and so it might be better for them to just squat on Gordon into the summer.
By the way, I think the concept they're going for here is Vasquez as the ball handler in the pick and roll, Davis as the usual pick/roll guy, Thompson rolling along the perimeter, and whoever is at the 3 as the baseline cutter.
Originally, I'm sure in their fondest dreams, Eric Gordon was supposed to be the ball handler in the pick and roll. Which would have been fantastic. But that seems unlikely now and we've been very fortunate in Vasquez's development. Because of Vasquez's development and size, if he can be the ball handler there, even if not as dynamic himself as Gordon as his best, the offense could actually be a lot better with someone like Thompson because of that outside range. It'll clear a lot of space inside.
I think we can all agree Gordon isn't getting traded before 3pm EST but I was playing around with ESPN's trade machine and came up with.
Denver - SG - Eric Gordon
New Orleans - SF - Danilo Gallinari
New Orleans can get a true 1st line SF and target Marcus Smart in the draft.
Denver clears room at a crowded SF spot for Hamiltion and Faried who come at 1/3 the price of Gallinarl. Plus it gives them the option of trading Iguodala or letting him walk if his contract asking price is too high.
This can wait till July also when Gordon loses his veto powers. But I don't know if that would be an issue b/c Gordon may waive that power going to solid playoff team like Denver.

Denver would love a spot up 2 guard (Reddick would actually be ideal) but they're not going to 1) take on Gordon's max deal since that would likely prohibit them from resigning Iggy and 2) if they trade a wing it'll be Wilson Chandler not Gallinari. They love Gallinari and he's much better with bigger upside then Chandler.
It'd have to be some sort of package deal, like Brewer/Musgov/Chandler for Gordon, but New Orleans doesn't gain a lot from that and Denver is kind if hamstrung in future moves if they resign Iggy as noted before. They'd be pretty locked into the next 3-4 years without much room to improve their bench.
I see Eric Gordon did not play again last night. I wish I could skip work whenever I felt like it! Benson's patience has got to be getting thin on this man.

Pretty sure I read that it's the medical staff that's holding him out of back to backs, and the coach and Gordon said they feel he can play back to back games.
We get it already, you hate Gordon and want him gone.

Who doesn't want him gone? So we got a player that not only does not want to be here but also can't play back to back? Name me another player that has the same issue. Can't break the chinaware I guess.
