Don't forget that when Dirk goes to the free throw line to have pictures of David Hasselhoff and chant "Haaaseellllllhoff". I'm surprised, and disappointed, you guys have done this yet. Also, someone needs to make up some signs and/or bring rolls of Charmin toilet tissue to show how soft the Mavs are.

My advice wouldn't rattle the Mavs or Dirk, but opposing teams thought that stuff was pretty funny 2 years ago.
Seriously, the best way to rattle Dirk is get physical with him like David West did. When West tapped his face, I would've loved to see Dirk very profoundly knock his damn hand away. But instead he stood there and let West do that. That was disappointing, but West knows he can pull that with Dirk. Now Stackhouse is a different story.
The best way to rattle an opposing team is for the fans to be loud. So loud that they can't communicate on the court. It works in football, it works in hockey and it works in basketball.

Callers into the Ticket were saying they wish Dirk had decked West. Of course, if he had, and had gotten suspended, they'd all say he overreacted.
I agree with everything you just said. David West was just upset that Dirk busted his lip though. I really didn't see what Dirk did to warrent a T there unless they wanted him to walk away or something...but w/e.

Yeahing throwing a punch would be stupid. But Dirk should've done with Stackhouse would've done, and that's very forcefully knock West's hand away, and warn him to never, ever try that **** with him again. But, Stephen Jackson showed last year that Dirk can be punked.
I think if we end up playing L.A. later in the playoffs, every time Kobe gets the ball we should chant : RAPIST, RAPIST, RAPIST!
FireGeorgeKarl.com: "Whenever Carmelo stepped to the free throw line at Staples Center, the fans chanted 'D-U-I, D-U-I.' Ha, ha, very clever, Lakers fans. Well I hope we Nuggets fans greet Lakers' star Kobe Bryant with a similar chant about his past infractions with the law when he arrives at Pepsi Center on Saturday. How about 'SETTLE-MENT, SETTLE-MENT?' I'm open to any ideas you've got."

Dirk gave him a nice elbow to the jaw that was sheilded from the ref's by his body. Kind of threw it behind himself. It was a dirty play and West called him out for it. Now D-West is in Dirk's head.
I've seen/heard clips of Shaq insulting Dampier that are pretty funny. Calling him Ericka; Saying to the interviewer to never mention that man's name again; saying he belongs in the WNBA.

By most accounts, this was the most feared impact of that trade. Diop was a shot-blocking or altering force in the paint, and Harris was a tremendous perimeter defender. But Harris didn't know how to run the point(or Avery was too stubborn to let him), and the offense was dump it to Dirk and stand around and watch.
BTW, if the Mavs lose in 4 or 5, I predict Avery is fired soon after. Maybe even if they lose in 6.

Yeah, The Ticket is ready for his head. Too bad. I like Avery.

Nellie and Cuban grew to hate each other. Nellie just couldn't take it anymore so he bailed. At the time, I think another team was looking into possibly hiring Avery, and Cuban didn't want to lose him, thinking he had the next hot, young coaching prospect.
I think Avery had to distance himself from the players and enforce his position as coach. He was just 1 season removed from being a player with some of the same guys he was now coaching. To that end, I think he made himself too uptight and micro-managed the hell out of them. I also think he started to lose the players after Game 3 against Miami. He messed up bad in that game, and they never recovered.
