I would like to see the team called Louisiana lagniappe but I overvalue alliteration.
never undervalue the useful purposes of prose.

Imagining visiting opponents looking up into the crowd and see 20,000 fans in their Mardi Gras costumes & masks. Benson can promote each home games as an event with custom designed, collectable beads or masks. They can also used the masks/super heroes theme as a promotional tool to showcase our players.
For those suggesting Krew, it has one huge problem. It has essentially already been used. It's spelled different and means something different, but the MLS team the Columbus Crew already uses the name and people will think that our name means the same thing. In which case, it will lose all New Orleans meaning. It will only mean Mardi Gras Krew to us. VooDoo, Brass or Privateers, while being used in college basketball, minor league hockey and the AFL, will likely be less well known nationally, and certainly internationally than a MLS team name.
