What about the New Orleans Creole. I think it sounds a lot better without the "s" at the end.

Pelicans or Pirates would be pretty cool some of these names you all are coming up with are really lame keeping it simple is the best route

I've seen dozens of fans' suggestions for names. I don't like most of them. But I won't call them lame because those suggestions are peoples' opinions.
We know that Benson is trying to buy the naming rights to Voodoo. I think most of us can dig that. But rumor is that the franchise is also tossing around the idea of Angels and Spirit. I'm just not so keen on those two.
There are several that I would be happy with (and that I think most people would be happy with), and certainly Pelicans is one of them.
