Thornton averaging 21/game since trade!

I like Landry and all but this looks like a bad trade. I am biased though since I graduated from LSU the same year as him.

I hope he becomes a superstar. I think he was stifled here so the move was best for him
I still miss him though

Thornton was doing nothing for the Hornets and that wasn't going to change. If David West's ankle injury turns out to be more than just rolling it, Demps will be a genius for the trade.

Thornton is killing it, he definitely had potential that was not being utilized here. However Landry is doing a very good job for us in the front court and our need there was huge, so this trade isnt a bad one.

He didn't play defense, bro. Monty was not going to keep a undersized 2 guard around to come off the bench over trading for a near 7' tall big man with Emeka's injury. I frickin' loved to watch the dude play, but he would NEVER start under coach Monty without playing staunch defense.
Also, you never know what West is going to do next year, he can opt out and we would have been stuck with some really crappy PF's.

While its impressive from an individual standpoint, Sacramento is 1-5 since getting Thornton so his 20 ppg has done nothing for them as of right now. I wish we could've gotten another Guard though included with Landry like Francisco Garcia.
He'll definitely be a great player down the road, but I don't see him becoming a superstar without defensive improvement unless he becomes Monta Ellis-esque, elite offensively but borderline terrible on D. If Monty Williams couldn't teach him D, I'd be shocked if Paul Westphal can seeing as though his team is at the very bottom of the league in giving up points.

I'd take a .500 record over 1-5 any day. Losses are losses, but the only bad loss since Landry arrived was against the Knicks. We didn't have CP for the Bulls game so that one can be understood; they had it tied up with the Bulls up until the last few minutes of the 3rd quarter before just giving it away. Meanwhile, IIRC all 5 losses for the Kings with MT have been by double digit deficits.
I'd rather have Landry than to have Thornton sitting on the bench and continue to get no minutes along with no depth behind injury prone David West.

his team sucks that is why they have gone 1-5 since the trade. the hornets have not done much better losing to pooh teams in the process. his scoring is missed right now and nobody outside of cp3 (when he wants to) can score at will and maybe dwest when he decides to drive to the rack. the only reason this trade makes sense for the hornets is because landry is almost 7'.

Honestly, I couldn't give a **** less about how Thornton is doing now. He's not a Hornet. Our bench is so much better with Landry now, it's not even funny.
