Was decent, but not great. I am however very excited about the Avengers movie.
The 'mad scientist' in the film was the movie version of Samuel Sterns. In the comics, he was infected with gamma radiation which generated an enormous growth of brain tissue making him a super-intelligent being called "The Leader". However, Sterns was jealous of his more intelligent older brother before the accident and his angry, jealous disposition led him to become a super-intelligent creature without any compassion.
I liked the Leader as a villian in the mags and have been looking forward to seeing him emerge in onbe of the upcoming flims, bnut so far there's been no sign of him.
As for the Abomination, he often was pounded into submission in the mags, but never died no matter what kind of incredible force had to be used to take him down. The film just followed the comic mantra in that case. I remember one mag where he and the Rhino smashed into each other (each trying to attack the Hulk) with such force it destroyed most of an island and left a crater where they had collided. The Abomination was taken from the crater later, unconscious, but otherwise unharmed.

Great clip! Wonder who the fight coordinator was? Excellent work making her reflexes (wiping up drool) look super fast. Great stunt with flipping the chair to break it on the back of the military suit.
His look of nonchalance is priceless while he waits. Great funny touch by Whedon.
A whole month left????? AAAGH!

Anyone here going to the all day Avenger-thon? I think tickets went on-sale on Saturday.
I wish I could, but it's not happening anywhere near me. I'll be satisfied with seeing it at midnight in Lafayette with a few of my boys. Can't believe we're less than a month away. The world premiere is tomorrow (with fan screenings starting today), so depending on when the embargo is lifted, we should get reviews soon (hint: they're going to be positive). Even if we're denied full reviews until closer to release, word of mouth will begin getting out really soon. This movie's going to do big business.
New TV spot (Isolated) came out today:

Along with a new clip featuring Colby Smothers (Maria Hill) and Sam Jackson (Nick Fury):

Yep, I'm going with a couple of my friends. Ever since I did the extended FOTR/extended Two Towers/ Midnight premiere of ROTK Lord of the Rings marathon, I always try to find a way to go if they do a marathon like this for a series I like. Always fun, and you're there with the die-hards so you know it'll be a well behaved crowd.
May 3, starts at 11:30 AM at the Elmwood Palace. $40 gets you Iron Man, Incredible Hulk, Iron Man 2, Thor in 3D, Captain America in 3D, and the midnight premiere of Avengers in 3D.

Yep, I did that one as well. It was a blast, except for the girl next to us taking notes, reciting every line, and crying at all the "sad" parts even though she had probably seen the films hundreds of times.
