This seems like the best option thus far as it involves fire, but does not include lighting said fire against the side of the house. The spider dies tomorrow. I will see if I can get a good photo of her when she comes out tonight.

Here she is! I'm watching Arachnophobia to go with the theme of it all.

They do bite and are fairly poisonous. It's my understanding that they are less aggressive than the black widow, but actually more poisonous. They produce less venom, however.

I already did that to it's sister that had set up show in another window. I'm pretty sure they are not isolated individuals. I'm imagining the underneath of my house to look like the basement in Arachnophobia about now. Those speaker wires I planned to run are going to half to wait until next decade or so.

I really recommend this stuff. If you have two of these things you have a lot more. Go out at night when they come out with a flashlight and spray away. This stuff has worked better and more consistent than anything ive tried although filling the big trash can with throttle body cleaner and lighting it is a heck of a lot more fun.
Also I have never seen one live more than 2 feet under a house. They want bugs and if your crawl space is dry there is nothing for them to eat down there. So put on gloves in case you see one and run the wires. Just remember if you smash one then rub your eye the whole side of your face will puff up like the elephant man.
Those thing live everywhere in the central valley here. It's terrible. Killing them has kinda become a game to me and my son. Rattle can paint smothers them if you want slow lingering death. I spray varnished one. That was really cool I kept her for a couple of years. I hate them as you can tell.

I can vouch for this as well. I have a ton of spiders around my house and some wolf spiders were getting inside. I sprayed the entire perimeter of my house with this and haven't seen any inside since.

I found a small one in the house this morning. I better check the basement for a pulsating nest. The war begins this weekend.

They haven't been back. Very strong stuff.

Not only throttle body cleaner a fast burn flame, it doesn't leave residue behind to burn... My personal favorite: Duck tape a couple of bug bombs to your kids remote control car and drive it all around under the house and in the crawl space... Really affective!

This happens in every horror movie. The protagonist debates, asks for help, wonders how to solve the problem. And it's always a bad decision.
Leave, now. While you have a chance.
My insomnia thanks you for the gigantic close-up pictures.
