Let's be honest though - this opening ceremony sucked.
London put together a third world country ceremony.

Personally didn't care for it. Agreed with those that said it couldn't touch Bejing, what could?
Thought it was on the boring side.
I did like the forging of the rings and the Mr. Bean parts.
Didn't like the whole boy meets girl in a club part.
Missed McCartney but it sounds like he was awful - saying that he was caught up in the emotion of the moment and it's not that his voice is shot.
I was shocked at how frail Muhammad Ali looked.

USA's Timothy Wang just lost in Table Tennis 4 games to 0. North Korea does know how to play very well.

Who do they take out next? Now that they've disposed of the Koreans? LOL

I'll say. Judging by the towels they put down, this must be a common occurrence.
It's still nothing compared to the all-drug games:

If only Drew Brees was allowed to throw a football for the final shot, he would have hit the target dead center.

The archery delivered. I thought it was great. Just one of the sports (like curling) I don't follow unless it's the olympics, and I always say to myself I want to watch more, but then I never commit and where in the heck do you follow it even if you wanted to anyway.
My wife was telling me that usually the better swimmers are put in those middle lanes. It will be interesting to see how Phelps does tonight starting outside. Personally I think he is going to do well and break the current medals record, but stumbling tonight would show that even a God King can bleed.
In closing I just want to say, I hate Ryan Seacrest.
