Maintaining vacant lot

k, so we just cut my parents' lot (the overgrowth was HUGE) - but it was cut to mulch
so now there are a lot of the bigger weed things that have been knocked over and stripped , but some are still 'in the ground'
i was going to take my lawnmower over every 2 weeks or so to maintain
but i'm not sure my mower can hack it - as it were

any suggestions/guidance?

How big is the lot and what kind of mower do you have?

Cutting twice a week should keep it under control. Problem arises when it rains right before you want to cut it and then it is three weeks between cuttings.

The bigger weed things will be history the next time or two that you cut. What happens is that they are so tall, the mower just lays them down flat and the blades can not cut them. A couple of passes will take car of them.

Glyphosate, Aminopyralid, 2,4 D, Triclopyr should keep it down for a while.
