this needs a "with our utter inability to grasp the infinite, we as humans probably do not have the capacity to appreciate if there really is a god or not" option
edit: and for those positing brees/superbowl pics, i am not in a place where i want to believe that god has forsaken us the last two seasons

I really don't care what other people believe, as long as they're good human beings. Some people who believe take their religion's book of wisdom and 'use it for good'. Others pervert the message.
Some people who don't believe don't disparage others for their beliefs (so long as it doesn't interfere with them), understanding the reasons it's important for the human psyche. Others who don't believe play the role of 'spoiler' and get into the news trying to take religion away from those who do - possibly because they're angry at God or whatever.
Is not believing in God the same as believing that there is no God? In the end, it is what it is.

Guess we would have to define God. I do not believe in God as the bible portrays. I have my own personal higher power that I consult with. It gives me something to believe in when I need guidance. It is really just a figment of my imagination but I use him to help me.
I do pray for people when asked. I figure that if there really is a God, then my prayers will be heard even though I do not believe in God. I would hope that if he does exists, he would hear my prayers for others.
I was born and raised a Catholic but find the Catholic religion to be a little sketchy. I live my life as honest as I can and would like to think I am a good person. If there is a God and he sends me to hell for not believing then that would be tragic in my book as I think I live a more morally correct life than many of the weekly church goers.
