whats everyone think of the NASCAR season so far ?

I am actually really enjoying this season , I am a big Dale Earnhardt Jr fan and after the 09 and 10 seasons, Junior fans finally have had something to cheer for the last 2 seasons . That elusive win to break his streak of 143races without a win is just around the corner I hope . He should have had the race yesterday at Pocono , NASCAR didn't do him a favor at all by running 5 to many caution laps but his car was great and its just a matter of time before he gets that monkey off his back . I truly feel when he does break the streak the way he has run this year he will win a few races . If that happens it could be his year to get that Championship everyone expected him to have by now .
I'd like to here thoughts on anything else NASCAR like. Jeff Gordons rough season,Kurt Bush tie raids , let's talk some NASCAR

I was hoping Martin would slap Logano for what he did to him to win that race.

Like Martin said, that is racing. He didn't wreck him, so I am alright with it. Used to see that all the time back in the day. Dale Sr. became famous for it. I like the way Martin thinks, he is old school. Not cut from todays whiney softies who complain everytime someone touches them. Back in the day you bumped someone and they moved, today you bump someone and they want to fight. Just race and quit whining.

That being said, if Jr. couldn't win it, I would have loved to see Martin in victory lane............oh well.

Season going ok so far, but man those extra caution laps near the end at Pocono for a piece of trash on the track sure screwed up Jr., seem like he thought he got jacked on that and could not reaally say what he wanted to about it..

yea i agree you could see it all over Jrs face in the interview that he was upset . NASCAR really screwed him up with the caution laps, Steve Letart knew they couldnt make it on fuel and neither could anyone else until NASCAR stepped in .

I really think NASCAR was looking at the fact that the pole winner hasnt won in forever Joey Lagano was sitting first for the restart . then they know most fan dont like fuel milage races, so i think they ran the laps to make sure the field had enough gas to make it.
if Jr stays out and restarts 3rd he wins the race hands down , he had passed Joey and Mark all day with out problem. Steve made the smart call and usualy it would work if NASCAR hadnt decided to keep it from being a fuel milage race .

That is the only reason Jr didnt win sunday and NASCAR should really be ashamed of them selfes , if Jimmy Johnson would have run as well as Dale Jr all day and been in the same spot you can bet NASCAR only runs 2 caution laps not 6
but i have a feeling Dale jr streak will end At Michigan this weekend on the 4 year aniversery of his last win . 88 to victory lane !!!

What I like seeing is that alot of the single car teams are running good this year. Makes it more interesting then seeing the same 3 or 4 teams dominating the sport.

I don't get that at all. Martin bobbled on his own and lost momentum, in the next corner, Joey was to him and that was as gentle as a bump pass as I have ever seen.

That's just racing.

As to the OP, it has been a good season. The 88 has really been good, I think it's just a matter of time. It would be great for Nascar if he could be in the hunt down to the wire in the Chase.

Wait, I thought the Nascar conspiracy was to get Jr. to win as much as possible. Now we're saying that preventing a mileage race is more important than getting Jr. to win?

There needs to be a chart somewhere of the Nascar conspiracy priorities. I can't keep them straight anymore.
