Martez Wilson on special teams

This guy is a beast on defense but whats up with all these penalties he gets on special teams. today he had 2 that gave the pats new 1st downs and against the cardinals he was holding and im pretty sure last year against the titans he cost Sproles a return all the way. If he keeps playing like this we should just take him out of STs and make him focus on playing DE.

That's why they have preseason. With only 53 on the roster, he'll just have to learn not to create penalties.

C'mon man, it's preseason. He's at a new position and got overeager, the coaches will work that out. A problem would be like he's unable to get any pressure on QB or he misses the QB everytime he has a clear shot. Being overeager and getting offsides is not something of issue in preseason with all the great stuff he is showing.

Not trying to defend him, but "running into the kicker" is just a dumb rule. Roughing the kicker I understand, but running into the kicker? Come on.

That's like expecting a driver going 60 mph only a few yards behind another car that suddenly stomps on it's breaks to be able to stop before running into the back of the car ahead of them.
