Any idea why SR.com is slow loading for me?

And it's not limited to peak times.

I don't know whether it's some setting on my laptop (which I have had a couple of days) or what. It's hard to compare with prior experience because over the last couple of months my old laptop (which was really old) would load a black page on this site constantly.

I don't seem to have any of these problems on my office computer.

What browser are you using? Are you connecting wirelessly or wired? Is you internet provider at home the same as work and what speed tier are you paying for at home? Are all your computers at home slow or just the new laptop? Try either Firefox or Chrome (or both) with the Adblock Plus extension installed and see if the site still loads slowly.

Same for me. I'm at a work computer using IE. And there are ads on all the pages unless I have replied to a thread and it reloaded or thumbed someone and the page reloaded (it didn't used to reload the page when thumbing before either).
