Digital Projector

Not sure if this fits in the purview of the tech talk board but here it goes. I have a Yamaha digital projector and recently I started getting ghost images. At first there was only a mild displacement of the image but each day the gap seems to be widening.

As I understand it, there is only one lens not multiple ones, like the old projector screens that needed realignment. So, my question is, is there a simple fix to this or this something that has to be taken in for the experts to do and then rake me over the coals with the pricing for repair?

I wish I could see it. Often image ghosting implies a ground loop, or a bad signal ground going from the signal source to the projector input. You might want to make sure the shielding in your signal cable has a good connection, as well as a good earth ground going to the projector and signal source. To eliminate this as a cause, you could view the projection using nothing but the internally generated menu display and see if the ghosting still occurs. If it doesn't, you'll know the problem is external.
