Mid-Level Android Phones - What's Available???

I've clung to my Nexus 5 and keep hoping that a new round of mid-priced Google phones will come out but looks like Pixel 2 will be more of the same premium thing. Not interested in a $700 - $900 phone, would rather something sub $500, unlocked and no contract bs with a carrier. I know a lot of the Chinese brands like LeEco are popping up more and more. Anyone have a current non-premium Android?

I have an honor 8, love it. Cost me around $300 on Black Friday. Easily the best Android phone I've had, and yes I've had the $600 - $700 Samsung's.

ZTE Grand X Max + 2 is what I have. It's excellent. Over a year old and still competitive with the latest phones as far as specs go. I think they are on the X4 now but you can get them at Cricket for around $200.

I have a Moto X Pure and really like it. Eventually I'll get the new OnePlus, but this has served me well after I saw that BestBuy was clearing them out for $200. The Moto G5 Plus has a great price with some premium features including 64GB of storage.

Galaxy J7 V here. Works very well. Great battery. Same as my last phone S6 edge. About 200 or 250, i think.

Unfortunately it doesn't work on Verizon.

My Nexus 5X died this month so I'm looking for a phone as well. It almost made it to two years. I'm not really impressed with LG built phones. But it was cheap, so I'm not that upset with it. I reverted to my old Droid Turbo for the time being. It's a heavy phone but it still works perfectly and I'd forgotten how awesome the motion driven functions of Motorola are.

I'm looking closely at the new Pixel launch. And there's something about Samsung phones that just rubs me the wrong way (I have an s6 for work and dislike it). We've got a new baby on the way so I'd like to have something with a good camera this go 'round.

for camera, go Sony experia, or Nokia
the sony actually fits the mid range price, have them at fry's all the time between 175 and 300.

Pixel is a great mid-level phone, but for a premium price.

I don't think Sony phones work on Verizon.

Not a mid-level, but I just got my S8+ On Thursday. Absolutely love it.

I'm not sure we even know of the specs yet.
