Expectations for tonight's SOTU speech?
I really don't know what to expect from President Obama's election year State of the Union speech. If it is his vision for ambitious plans to improve the economy and move forward on some unfulfilled promises, I will welcome such a speech. If it is a campaign speech, then I will be very disappointed. I hope he continues the theme from last year's speech of unity for the best interests of our people during difficult times.
Any expectations?

I expect it to be in dazzling high definition
Truthfully, it will be eloquent and well thought out. Obama will point to the (mildly) encouraging signs of economic recovery as signs that his policies are working. He will throw in a few digs at the rich and will drop the terms 'fair' - or derivations thereof - and 'middle class' no less than 2 dozen times. Ultimately, I'm sure it will lack any substance at all as have the past 10 SOTU addresses post-9/11.

Albeit morbid, every time I watch a SOTU address, I wonder who would become the new POTUS if the House chamber suddenly caught fire and everyone inside was incinerated.
This year's designated survivor: Tom Vilsack, Secretary of Agriculture.

OK I've checked it out on FOX, NBC, CBS, and ABC - Obama looks exceptionally jaundiced tonight. Of course it could just be the contrast with the year-round leathery-tanned skin of Boehner and Biden's Colgate-commercial-ready blinding white teeth.

US auto industry back? Now he's joking right..
Trade enforcement unit? More government spending plus more government..
Fewer illegal crossings since you took office? Maybe because they can't even find work..
Renewable energy policy? That's right keep spending..
Crumbling roads and bridges? You signed a 890B stimulus to fix this and was supposed to be shovel ready. Yeah I see...
We Dodd-Frank and now he wants to add a "small fee" on banks...
Don know about you but I'm ready to fire Obama!

Obama better pray Romney wins the nomination - Newt may be a whore-mongering blowhard Republican shill but he would wipe the floor with Obama in any debate.

Don't you think poking fun at Newt's weight is a bit over the line? I mean he's big but not Chris Christie big.
