A legal advocacy group led by conservative radio host Mark Levin, the Landmark Legal Foundation, has filed a request with the U.S. Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court requesting a "full investigation" of multiple leaks on surveillance activity conducted at the behest of the court.
Many former associates of President Trump were then identified in news reports, likely as a result of those requests. Landmark argues that this is an illegal abuse of the FISA process.
"Each leak is potentially criminal and certainly unethical," the filing reads. "They also undermine the public's faith in the credibility of the FISA process."
"Landmark respectfully suggests that the Court, sitting en banc, should direct the government to complete its investigation and report its findings to the Court within 90 days," Levin read on his radio program Thursday.
"The Court should also consider whether it is appropriate to issue an order to all relevant federal law enforcement and intelligence agencies to show cause as to why they should not be held in contempt for failing to protect the secrecy of classified information obtained pursuant to orders of this Court."
He added: "Landmark respectfully encourages this Court to use the full arsenal of legal powers available to it to resolve this matter."
The full filing is attached at the bottom of the article.
Noble effort. Ignore the possible treasonous acts, the real important work is finding out who is responsible for all those leaks. One question though, other than Flynn, whose name has been leaked to the media?
I get that a low audience (less than 2% of Americans have ever tuned in his show) radio freak show guy wants to help with distraction in the hopes his name gets tweeted. Still, nothing is going to distract from the overwhelming reek of failure coming from the WH these days. No president has ever had a worse 100 days in office (beginning middle or end) including the ones that died.
The hypocrisy is simply breathtaking. What's even worse is the number of people who can't see it.
Make no mistake, they see it and know it. Why care when you know the other side won't have any power against it. The hypocrisy is blatant, so that sensible people will tune-out, read until it turns your stomach again and tune it out. That's the ploy.
It works, bc anyone with average education and common sense, is wondering what the hell is in the White House, and how did we get here? Then, the next thing you do is click off any political site or TV channel, put it on something entertaining, like I am about to do.
Y'all have a good day, especially you mt15, I will be around more later this year, close to the season. I just don't have the desire to discuss a fool much longer. Need to recharge.
Anything that draws more attention to Russia's involvement in our election is a good thing.
The irony is that this investigation is more likely to hurt Trumps cause than help it.
Based off of what evidence? The debunked dossier that Obama and Comey used to start an investigation into Carter Page? That doesn't seem fishy to you at all? The FBI paid a retired British spy to investigate Page. So he met with people who are Russian. Is that illegal? Has there been any shred of evidence of any illegal activity to be proven at all?
The only thing illegal I have seen is the fact that we know that leaking classified info is a felony. These people were not only leaking classified info, but they were leaking debunked classified info that they knew was complete crap for political reasons in order to smear the Trump campaign. You just so happen to be one of those people who believes everything that comes from the liberal media. You just can't let go of this Trump/Russia conspiracy theory.
We are on the verge of going to war with Russia. Putin just announced that he could wipe out the entire US Navy with a click of a button basically. Trump has been just as critical of Russia by condemning their relationship with Iran and Assad. Trump and Putin are obviously not friends. Believe it or not, which I know you don't because you are blinded by hatred of the man himself. You hate his hair, you hate his fake tan, you hate that he is inarticulate, you hate that he is a billionaire. I get it. I have seen every single insult that can be thrown at a person right here on this board. Everything from his skin color, hair color, his hands, his lips, his voice, his general appearance and his character. These are all personal attacks based off of pure hatred of the man himself. Most of it has nothing to do with his policies or intentions in any way.
That is why a lot of republicans don't post on here. Your hatred for the man far outweighs our desire to help you to change your mind. We just kinda sit back and read your posts and shake our heads. 8 months of this Trump/Russia collusion conspiracy and still not a shred of evidence.
