Its a huge advantage to Obama that states like California, NY, Washington, IL and OR are on auto renew for the Democrats, thats 123 electoral votes right there before doing anything.
Hardcore Republican states only carry a handful of electoral votes, Romney is in for an uphill battle.
If he can win Florida and Ohio it will get interesting, probably right down to the wire.

How many votes did Obama's budget plan get?

The National Journal just recently had an article about this very thing -- a "Blue Wall" is what they called it. It's a good read.

Well who ever it was that replied to me about cosmic201... cosmic201 was unaware that Obama promised to cut the deficit in half in his first term and that he promised to have unemployment at 6 percent, so cosmic has to do alittle more research before he/she post on here..

You should check out this site, and pay special attention to the one about false equivalence.
Blind partisanship drives me crazy.

You mean that site uses Paypal to handle their sales? Lots of sites do that, including S-R.

What's funny is that the site he linked to in this very thread asks for donations through Paypal on their homepage as well

No one's even mentioning that Obama leads Romney by 16% in Massachusetts.

It's not a thermometer...it's more like putting your hand on someone's forehead. In many cases you can correctly judge a fever, but you won't be able to pin down their exact temperature. And whether you use your palm or the back of the hand matters.
The latest results of the Rasmussen poll is mildly interesting...
...but we're 6 months out -- polls like this don't have any real predictive power until around Labor Day or so, and even then it tends to be a crapshoot to try and rely on single national polls like this.
It's already been mentioned in this thread, but RealClearPolitics' poll of polls is probably the best tool to use to get a read on the trends that the polls are pointing too. Plus they usually link to the actual data, so people like me can geek out about it.
And as Cosmic has said -- the polls to really keep an eye out for are the state level ones. Since the general campaigns are just starting to get off that ground there isn't a whole lot of that out there yet, but it'll start pouring in later this summer.

I'd bet if Obama were up by 3 points in polls right now you would say this race is over. It's funny how polls don't matter too much to the side whose guy is in trouble.

A mistake in which I already admitted to, apologized for, and explained.
Something, I might point out, you have never done for any of the numerous mistakes you have made (feeling charitable about calling them mistakes and not outright lies).
I will also point out that Obama never, ever claimed he would keep unemployment under 6 percent. Never.
In fact, the only claimed about unemployment numbers were made by advisers in a projection that claimed it would peak at 9 percent and dip quickly below 8 percent with the stimulus. However that was also full of numerous caveats that said it could go as high as 11 percent. It was only one projection and never claimed to be otherwise.
Mitt Romney
PolitiFact | Will: Obama said stimulus would cap unemployment at 8 percent
Quote:
that Obama was offering some sort of guarantee the stimulus would keep the unemployment rate below 8 percent. The administration never characterized it that way and included plenty of disclaimers saying the predictions had "significant margins of error" and a higher degree of uncertainty due to a recession that is "unusual both in its fundamental causes and its severity." In short, it was an economic projection with warnings of a high margin for error, not a take-it-to-the-bank pledge of an upper limit on unemployment.
So we find Will's claim Barely True.
|
I'm curious if you will come back in and admit to this glaring mistake or if you will ignore it like you have done dozens of other times in the past.

What does Obama have to do with Louisiana?
Are you really this dense you couldn't figure out why Massachusetts leading so far towards Obama was slightly ironic?
Should I post it to a couple of your right wing sites you use for the copy paste?
Romney was the Governor of Massachusetts. It's a pretty big deal this election because one of the key fights Republicans are using is that of Obamacare. Obamacare that was pretty much a copy of Romneycare that he put in place while he was Governor. Romneycare that is extremely popular in Massachusetts.
No one mentioned Obama being behind in Louisiana because Obama has nothing to do with Louisiana.

I would say the same thing I said when polls were posted that did have Obama in a commanding lead.
General polls are almost useless in determining the presidential election and even state polls don't mean much this far out.
The only thing state polls are good for right now are determining which states will be a battleground of Ads and campaigning between Romney and Obama.
