Romney is less dishonest than Obama if for the only reason he hasnt been elected president yet -
once we all accept the fact that all politicians are liars then we just have to vote for the lie of our choice
Agreed. One lies more than the other? What do neither of them lie? It's like Mitt's an empty suit, while Obama is an empty promise? What is one worse than the other, or does it just depend on what side of the aisle you sit on?
Hence the "not sure if serious" bits. I am not sure if you are serious when you say one liar is more of a liar than another liar. Or one empty promise is a bigger empty promise than another empty promise. They are all one in the same.

If you honestly think Romney is less dishonest than Obama and you value honesty then you're either not voting or voting for a liar.
In the same vein, if you think Obama is any more or less dishonest than Romney, and you value honesty, then you're either not voting or voting for a liar. At the end of the day, if any of us cast a vote we are voting for a liar that is simply telling us what we want to hear. We simply choose the liar that we believe with govern in a manner most consistent with our beliefs.

I would say they are equally disingenuous, but I think Romney is more of an empty suit than Obama.
You're kidding right. Mitt has had great success outside the political arena. Obama's qualities seem to be writing autobiographies and getting elected. In both the private sector and in and elected office, Romney's record of success dwarfs Obama's.

I don't follow why people say huntsman is moderate.
Where is the proof?
Fwiw, Obama would have beat huntsman IMO
I hear ya. It's more of an idea for discussion rather than a probability. But the point is that there is a block of middle voters that will likely decide the election. The conservative movement continues to ignore this reality.

Another gem of intellectual failure. Romney's been running twice as long and Obama has never told anyone he was "severely conservative" while Romney's been both. He governed as a liberal moderate and ran last time as a moderate. Today, he's Boss Hog eating cheesy grits and rubbing elbows with Nascar and NFL owners.
There's probably not a less honest person in America than Mitt Romney.

Mind sharing some evidence on the contrary? I mean, the web is absolutely filled with evidence of his centrists stances. Check out his old website, or his speeches on Youtube.
His economic/fiscal beliefs are conservative, but not crazy arch-conservative (like Paul Ryan) or crazy neo-liberal like George W Bush.
He's got some socially conservative views, but doesn't shove it down people's throats. He's supported Civil Unions for same-sex marriage.
He's not anti-science. He's far more "worldly" than the vast majority of the Republican Party. Hell, he was nominated by Obama to be Ambassador to China (which isn't exactly a fluff assignment that you give to just anybody).

What would have been a closer matchup? Obama v. Huntsman or Obama v. Santorum?
I personally just don't see Obama losing this time but if he does I'd rather it be Santorum as president than Romney. The reason being that Santorum won't have to constantly prove himself to the fringe of the republican party. He will be able to come to the middle because he has a solid base on the right wing. A president Romney would consistently have to pander to the Rush and Beck crowd so as not to lose them. An example of this is when Rush made his comments Santorum could say immediately that it was wrong while Romney was unable.
I do think that Santorum might be harder to beat than Romney in a general election though. You can call Santorum kooky on a whole bunch of issues but a Presidential election is about the man more than the issues and Romney now has a history of lying to try and get elected. That's a fatal flaw in my opinion.

Well obviously if he didn't have a tea party third party candidate Huntsman would've been a tough out. He lost that primary as soon as he started working for Obama though.

I want Santorum. He's so off base it will destroy the Republican party. Hopefully by doing that they will cast off the lunatic fringe of the party and become something that is not appealing to their currant base that I cannot stand.

People fear Obama right now and Mitt would make the economy grow just on Obama not being president.
What's Mitt's plan for the economy or, rather, what has he "PROMISED" that will make everything better?
Cut taxes for the rich to levels unseen in history. Blow the budget deficit because he can't pass spending cuts and investment returns could NEVER make up enough revenue in a few short years to justify it.
Raise taxes for the poor and working class. Sure, that's going to work wonders.
I've never even heard him articulate a plan so why don't you fill us in?
