He also said this:
Quote:
In a taped interview aired on "Closing Bell," the still-popular 42nd president called the current economic conditions a "recession" and said overzealous Republican plans to cut the deficit threaten to plunge the country further into the debt abyss. (Clinton's office released a statement after the interview).
"What I think we need to do is find some way to avoid the fiscal cliff, to avoid doing anything that would contract the economy now, and then deal with what's necessary in the long term debt-reduction plans as soon as they can, which presumably would be after the election," Clinton said.
"They will probably have to put everything off until early next year," he added. "That's probably the best thing to do right now. But the Republicans don't want to do that unless he agrees to extend the tax cuts permanently, including for upper income people, and I don't think the president should do that."
|
and this:
Quote:
|
Like the current Oval Office resident, Clinton blamed much of the economic damage on the sovereign debt crisis - "this European thing that's having a bigger impact than people know" - as well as politics, saying, "The thing that cost jobs here has been the Congress's policies."

I don't follow - doesn't the title have all of the information that one would need to formulate an appropriate opinion?

I was wondering if the OP, who posts lots of articles and videos, ever reads the articles or listens to the words in the videos.

I read this part to.... This is not the first comment by Clinton that could pose problems for the Obama campaign. During a CNN appearance last week, Clinton*praised Romney's work at Bain*as "sterling," and questioned the strategy of criticizing private equity. Clinton himself*dabbled in private equity.

Perhaps a quick perusal of this post will help
US Already in 'Recession,' Extend Tax Cuts: Bill Clinton
It highlights some of the little words, and gets right to the important ones. Might speed things up a little that way.
Also, this way you can understand Clinton's position, without having to break your "haven't read an article before posting it" streak.

[mod edit]deleting a reference to a now deleted post[/mod edit UTJ]
I read it very goodly and agree with the OP - other than the reference to the steel plant that obama used former employees in his ad Clinton was contrary to Obama
The end if the article about separating people or bringing them together IMO reflects Obama divisive positions
He also stated in short term the tax cuts should extend to wealthy vs buffet rule

I don't know if we are in a recession but a well respected economist who is friends with Obama says we are in a depression.
