Is there any professional athlete that understands there's only so much money to go around, and you can't have it all to yourself if the team is to be able to hold good players?

Drew's image is irrelevant.
Somebody let me know when we find out what we're getting for him in the trade.

How many of you guys took a pay cut so you can stay in New Orleans? The first company that offered you a higher salary, you moved out of New Orleans. Drew is no different from most of you, he wants to be paid.

I didn't need Kaare to tell me this. Drew has said he wouldn't sign the tag. Everything he's ever done involves fighting against things like the tag. Common sense says he would never, ever sign the tag.
The very idea is silly. HE WON'T SIGN THE TAG.

Not his fault that people over-idolized him. He didn't name himself Breesus. He does charity work? Who doesn't? He was one good thing that the city saw in 2006 and it all rolled from there. It's all about money. Maybe in the first year when these kids just wanna play football, but after that - it's just business. Same goes for the team. It's like if you came home and told your wife you traded your life savings, kids college funds and your house for a Ferrari. Sure it's the best car you can get, but not if you have to live in it.

Then let him go. The Saints can't spend that amount of money on one player because it will stifle our ability to remain competitive. I say just let him go and start Daniel. I know most won't like that, but it is mho.

If this is true, Drew is going from hero to villain. So sad.

Can't believe how some are so quick to turn against Drew. This Thread should be dedicated to The "Band Wagon" fans. Unbelievable...

This whole franchise is hurting right now man we can only hope for some good news in the next few months. Coming to Saintsreport has become depressing with all of these reports.

I agree, actually. It's horrifying to imagine, but I think it won't be long until he's on the trading block if he refuses to come down.
What about Flynn? There have to be options out there that aren't Chase Daniel.

Starting Daniel is a recipe for irrelevancy and handing the South to the Falcons
