The governor of Minnesota, you know, that state up north that has already basically convicted our Saints for playing too rough, has just inserted his foot in his mouth. He is trying to defend Adrian Peterson for his actions in the bar last week, but what he doesn't realize is that he is being a hypocrite with statements like this:
Quote:
“It means that young males who are heavily armored and heavily psyched as necessary to carry out their job are probably more susceptible to being in bars at 2 o’clock [in the morning] and having problems. It doesn’t excuse it. It just says this probably comes with it,” Dayton said.
“Shake one of their hands and you know that this is someone who is not your ordinary citizen. They’re heavily armored, heavily psyched to do what they have to do and go out there. It’s, basically, slightly civilized war. . . . Then they take that into society. Much as soldiers come back, they’ve been in combat or the edge of it and suddenly that adjustment back to civilian life is a real challenge. And that’s part of the reality. That’s not to say it’s good and it shouldn’t be improved. It should.”
Really Governor? Is that how football is? Civilized war? Soldiers? Dude, do you realize that there is a city in Louisiana who is being punished for using this same type of metaphoric lingo? Do you also realize that it is because of your team, the Minnesota Vikings, that the Saints are in this situation in the first place?
The Vikings have officially taken over the #1 spot on my list of most hated teams. Yes, I hate them even more than the Falcons. Minnesota, you are the land of hypocrisy.
did this ******** just compared a football player, that get paid millions, to ententain people, and get media and people love to him............ to a soldier who serve this Country, risk his life, money is not great, his parents may receive a medal instead a son coming home.......... ??
i wish i could beat da **** out him, do not wish to tell him anything.....just beat that ************
it just really ticks me off because when AP first got arrested, these people were screaming for proof and were saying he is innocent before they ever even knew the whole story. But yet when it comes to Vilma and the Saints, they don't care about the proof. In their eyes, Vilma is guilty no matter what. It makes me sick.
I have hated the vikings far before favre ever played for them, and I don't care how irrelvant they are. The 49ers were terrible for a long time, and I loved every minute of it. Nothing better than watching your most hated teams stink it up.

This guy seriously just compared a millionaire football player who got arrested in a nightclub to a combat vet with PTSD.
Between stuff like this and people still defending Joe Paterno as a "great man" because he won a bunch of games, I feel embarrassed for being a football fan.
I don't hate the Vikings. Hating the Vikings would imply that they're relevant.
I just hate their fans because they're so bitter about losing what they thought was their only chance at getting a Super Bowl victory. That and we got ours before they did.
