You got to the State Banning Office in Baton Rouge. You fill out the requisite forms and usually hear back in 6-8 weeks, although I've had approval come back in as little as a month.

The approval process used to be really easy, but when Jindal pushed all those ethics reforms it really added to the red tape.

And don't forget to ask for and fill out the 5th Amendment Release of Liability form. That's REALLY important.
