' I am still haunted by the crushing, brutal blows that were taken by quarterbacks Brett Favre and Kurt Warner during their teams' playoff losses in 2010'
Haunted? I call bull. Lying through your teeth, Jan.

Lol Vikings are so fail they're the only team that ever had someone run the ball the wrong way on a fumble recovery and score points for the opponent.
They lose in superbowls, they lose in championship games, I love it.

I am incensed that the Vikings had 12 men in the huddle. That's cheating. That extra guy could have seriously injured one of the Saints' players.

How is the Cardinals game even discussed. Didn't we win by like 3 touchdowns. It wasn't even close before that hit.

My God, Jan will need intensive therapy if he was watching the NFL Network this weekend, where they were celebrating the 100 Greatest Players, and one of the featured players was Dick "Night Train" Lane.
Seems there was a time big hits and fierce defense would make you feared, respected, and elected to the HOF.

Sounds like a soccer fan - he just doesn't get the whole 'contact' thing, so of course he thinks we're all meanies for blowing his team's guys up. I bet that guy thinks those boxers who hit people in a ring should be arrested too!

I guess Jan, which is usually a girls name but for a Vikings fan all bets are off, thinks that mentioning Warner keeps s/he from looking like just another crybaby Viking sfan. This ladyboy's not fooling anyone.

A fan of a team that once had a defense called 'The Purple People Eaters'? Ya, OK.
If they want to be mad at someone, then they should be angry at their garbage O-line that almost got Favre killed. He got the crap beat out of all the next season, so much so, that he broke his streak of continuous games played. He was so beaten that he actually retired for real.
How many times did the mullet hit Brees? A couple, at the most?
Get over it whiny Vikings fans.

2 of the nastiest and hardest hitting teams of all time in the finals for the greatest team of all time voting.

Man, the game is changing quickly. Go back and watch some of those championship games.
This crap being said about those two 2009 playoff games is ridiculous. It's like Jabari Greer has said, "We played the game the way it was meant to be played, and we were praised for it."
I'm ready for this storm to pass.

AND Warner was not a QB when he was hit, he was attempting to stop the Saints who had intercepted the ball. At that point he's just another guy on the field. And obviously not used to getting hit like that.
Wasn't Cutler hurt on a play where he tried to stop a player who had intercepted the ball? Where is the outrage there? That pretty much killed the Bears playoff hopes.

I quoted a Vikes fan on PFW who said we are now the "Taints" with this link. Nothing but crickets afterwards.
Giants knew Kyle Williams had concussion problems and targeted his head | Shutdown Corner - Yahoo! Sports
"The thing is, we knew he had four concussions, so that was our biggest thing, was to take him outta the game," said Jacquian Williams, who forced the second fumble, in overtime, to set up New York's game-winning field goal.
"He's had a lot of concussions," said Devin Thomas, who recovered both fumbles. "We were just like, 'We gotta put a hit on that guy.'" Later in the same interview, he told the Newark Star-Ledger that teammate and backup safety Tyler Sash "did a great job hitting him early and he looked kind of dazed when he got up. I feel like that made a difference and he coughed it up."
I guess we can go ahead and tarnish the trophy the Giants won this year as well.

Funny, I never felt that way at all. I think I may watch the 09 playoffs again this weekend.

How young are Vikings fans? You'd think they were teenagers. They must have never watched Football 20 years ago, cause what the Saints did to Favre and Warner is below dirty as far as what a defense like Chicago or Washington in the 1980's would have done to them. They should be lucky they were still in that game despite 5 turnovers.
If it was 1982-1989 and the Vikings were playing a defense such as San Francisco, Chicago, or Washington, believe me they would have knocked Favre out the game, and there would be no flags, and not *****ing and whining about it.
Vikings fans will shout foul or anything. I hope they continue to suck for the rest of their years. 3-13 taste so sweet for a team that's fans do nothing but whine and cry and complain.
