Congrats To All Champions
If you won your league(s)... or had a good showing... congrats.
My championship game is ongoing now... but Felix Jones will need 64 points all by his lonesome on SNF tonight for me to NOT win the championship... so like a politician giving his acceptance speech w/ only 60% of the vote counted... I'm claiming victory now.
also... in my second league i finished as the runner-up... 7 points short this weekend.
all in all... not bad for this fantasy football rookie.
oh... and i drafted like a true homer... i got a lot of Saints on my team
talk about your team's performance.

5 fantasy teams, 2 championships for me this year. Beat another sr.com mod in one, too.
My only pay league is not officially over, but I'm ahead in the championship game by 123 points; only Victor Cruz is left to play and he's on my roster. Sweet.
Yes, I'm bragging. I earned it, LOL.

I won my league because everyone chased RBs in the draft while I had my pick of WRs. My winning line up:
QB Stafford (traded Matt Schaub and Fred Jackson for Matt and Tolbert)
RBs CJ Spiller A Peterson
WRs C Johnson V Cruz M Colston
TE J Graham
K Kasay
DEF Baltimore
BENCH
RB
Helu
Gore
Tate
F Jones
WR
S. Johnson
D Bryant
TE
A Gates
League championship was last week...

Mine was a money league too. I should get a couple of bucks to pay my lawyer, lol.

I won mine Christmas week. I started celebrating early when I learned that Romo was out, but it wouldn't have made a difference even if Romo had his best game of the season.

My winning roster from my pay league. I took a chance and started the KC defense over the Jets D, which was the right choice. I almost changed at the last minute, and decided not to...it wouldn't have made a difference anyway. My opponent was toast.

I won my first championship and even went undefeated. Like city champ, I focused on Wide Receivers after picking Arron Rogers, even though I was last in the draft order. Drew Brees was the only QB taken before mine...
Wes Welker and Darren Sproles were both undrafted FA's in our league.

Here's my championship roster... I got Stafford in a trade earlier in the year from the guy I beat in the championship.
Also... my opponent started Cam Newton in the championship since he had Aaron Rodgers (who obviously was inactive while resting for the playoffs)... my even better luck... my opponent had picked up Matt Flynn from the free agents list... but left him on the bench
and another note... in the league I lost the championship in... the Meachem diving TD that was called back due a holding call prob. cost me the title

Interesting observation about taking WR's before RB's this season...in the pay league I won, this was my strategy. I felt like RB was my weak link all season, but obviously it didn't matter. With the pass-happy culture of the NFL this year, it's no wonder that this approach would work. I wonder what will happen next year; it will be interesting to see! I think I'll try this approach again. Certainly in my pay league, QB will be my first pick, since the scoring was very pass friendly to begin with, assuming we have the same rules next season.
