Crazy that I'm seeing your post about Noah and the Whale just now as I swear I just heard about them this morning and have been listening to the album all day. Another band I just started listening to today is called We Are Augustines. Haven't listened to everything by them, but you might like it.

We Are Augustines - Chapel Song - YouTube
Their name being We Are Augustines reminds me of when I lived in Hammond and practically lived at Augustines and we would actually say that about ourselves. God, those were awful days.

Thanks for the suggestion though, I downloaded it and am gonna check it out in the next couple of days.

Instead of putting down everybody's contribution to the thread, why don't you contribute something yourself? Or are you just too cool for that?

I won't touch on my favorites that have already been mentioned, but a couple that I couldn't allow to be looked over include:

Stone Rollin' by Raphael Saadiq
El Camino by The Black Keys
Scandalous by Black Joe Lewis and the Honeybears
21 by Adele

Excellent album. I'm not really big on metal, but I honestly think Mastodon is one of the few bands that gets better with every album.

This has been a very good thread so far. I have listened to a few bands that I have never heard of and like alot of it. Keep it up, please. One of my best friends and I used to get together, drink some beer and listen to new music all the time, he passed away last year. This thread reminded me of the good times we used to have.....thanks for that.

Just saw this thread. I'll not to repeat any videos, but I have to agree with everyone that said the latest Foo Fighters was great. I liked the recent Frank Turner album too.

Here are a few songs from 2011 albums that I'd put on the list:

I know it's early, but that's one of my favorites of 2012 as well.

I'd also have to add:

Neck of the Woods by the Silversun Pickups

The Crosses Eps (feat: Chino from the Deftones)
