Awesome. "Lick It Up", first album released without makeup. Seeing Vinnie Vincent makes me remember why I liked them with makeup. Hard on the eyes.

Although I like the original KISS, this lineup which included Eric Carr (10 times the drummer Peter Criss ever was) was damn good together. I must note that I think Ace Frehley was the better guitarist, although V.V. wasn't that bad.

Technically, Vinnie Vincent was far superior to Ace, but the Spaceman's sloppiness was part of his likeability.

And Eric Carr >>>>>>> Peter Criss. They even had to bring in David Letterman drummer Anton Fig to play the drum parts on Dynasty.

Yeah, and then Fig became the drummer in Frehley's Comet.

There were also rumors that, for the Creatures of the Night and The Elder albums, Ace was so unreliable and drugged up that they had to hire Vinnie Vincent and/or other studio guitarists to play the lead parts.

I had forgotten about this thread.

Man, Anton Fig recording with KISS and Frehley's Comet. Who would've thought that. Seeing him on Letterman, I would have never guessed that. Makes me look at him with a lot more respect.

Bob Kulick (Bruce's brother) was one of those guitarists.

Wow, Robben Ford and Rick Derringer playing lead guitar in the early 80's.
