Is the Love song "Alone Again Or" in a movie out now or something?

I've heard it three times in the last week on KLSU and that's pretty weird for an obscure 40 year old song on a college station

Is it that obscure? It's on the "Forever Changes" LP, which is generally regarded as one of the best albums of all time. Some student probably just recently got into Love or something. I'll also add, when I worked at WUSM in Hattiesburg, I would often play songs I was currently obsessed with over and over again. Might explain it.

heh - Guilty! of using "obscure" when refering to something not topical today. Of course, it was a fantastic and heralded album, but it's odd to get so much attention now (And to me, the rest fo the album is so much better than that song). I thought of the DJ discovering it and being obscesed phenomenon, though. When I DJed at KLPI and KLSU, I often would play lots of psychedelia that was 15 years old. But this was at three different times of day. Maybe since it's the summer, DJs are filling different shifts and that would explain it, but it seemed weird. I guessed tgat it was somehow brought to the attention of many people.

ps - I did a seach on the song to see if it was in the news and I'd forgotten that The Damned had done a cover and that I had a copy:

You know, oddly enough, I have the 12" of The Damned's version somewhere in my huge pile of singles. I'm not a huge fan, so I must've picked it up from WUSM a couple of years ago or something. There are a few bonus tracks on the 12" as well.
