You guys have pretty much got all the American metal stuff covered so I'll just put up local stuff I know. Ireland isn't really known for its metal, but the scene is there, it is just very hard for any band to break through.

Not a big metalcore guy, but this stuff has grown on me of late.
http://www.myspace.com/gacysthreads
Vocals put me off at the start, but I'm coming round to them a bit. They're just bringing out an EP now, and the lead track is awesome.

As I mentioned before, it is hard for any band to get attention in Northern Ireland, where local stuff is (much to my dissapointment) largely ignored by practically everyone. When that band plays metal, everything gets much harder. This band recently split up, I think because they just got sick of giving so much and getting so little. Their last work, 'Lonely Doom', is a real masterpiece that frankly little to no one has or ever will hear which is kind of sad.

There's also this cd I got recently from a band I have heard little of. I'll not pretend to know much about them, cause I don't, but it's good stuff. Really dynamic record. Band is Altar of Plagues, album's called 'White Tomb'
www.myspace.com/altarofplagues

Finally, while they probably aren't as heavy as you metalheads would appreciate, LaFaro, Adebesi Shank, and And So I Watch You From Afar are in rotation on my ipod right now. The last two are instrument post-metal, and the first are jawdroppingly heavy riffs with more mainstream type vocals and songs, but one of the best bands in the country full stop. Really believe ASIWYFA are one of the most fresh, hardworking, and talented bands in the world right now. No one will probably listen to me as I have went on about them before and started them a thread, but the emotions they evoke while still melting your face with some amazing dual guitarwork are unbelievable.

(Sorry about the italics BTW, they won't shut off).

You cant mention Ireland metal without mentioning Primordial one of the best bands going right now

Altar of Plagues are amazing:

As for Bring Me the Horizon-its standard hot topic metalcore/deathcore for kids- theres far better/heavier bands of the style out there

Just got back from San Francisco and went to the Summer Slaughter fest, what a show. Dying Fetus, Origin, and Suffocation were BRUTAL, all had awesome shows. Darkest Hour was so good, they played mostly stuff from Undoing Ruin. After the Burial and Winds of Plague were kinda meh. I liked Born of Osiris and Beneath the Massacre a lot. It was a great time.

I'm probably gonna hit Whitechapel and TBDM, then AtR and Trivium, and somehow see Cannibal Corpse too.
