Sony to Pony Up for Voodoo Music Fest

Sony Computer Entertainment America Rocks New Orleans at Voodoo Music(R) Experience
Thursday October 26, 8:00 am ET



FOSTER CITY, Calif., Oct. 26 /PRNewswire/ -- Sony Computer Entertainment America today announced that it will sponsor the eighth-annual Voodoo Music® Experience in New Orleans, Louisiana. The two-day event brings the hottest musical acts in the world to New Orleans' historic City Park on October 28th and 29th, 2006.

Musical Acts include Red Hot Chili Peppers, Duran Duran, Wu-Tang Clan, The Flaming Lips and more. As part of the event, show-goers will go hands-on with upcoming PlayStation® products as the festival marks the first stop of the new "PlayStation Experience" -- a big-rig truck outfitted with a full line-up of playable games for PlayStation®2 computer entertainment system, PSP® (PlayStation®Portable) system, and the highly anticipated PLAYSTATION®3 (PS3(TM)) system.

sweet. i am really excited about voodoo this year. Mainly for Joseph Arthur who is pretty good. He'll mainly be playing his new stuff, which is a little more John Mayer-ish than usual, but its still good. My girlfriend thinks he sounds a lot like John Mayer, but Joseph Arthur uses a lot more distortion in his guitar and louder drum beats.
