You know that you are just going to get distracted before you put one in the time capsule so I suggest just buying two.

So... Is the hardened edition really worth an extra $40?
What do the map packs generally cost for MW?

Like Optimus said, they are around $15 a piece so if you are going to buy them, it probably is worth it. The question is whether or not you will play the game long enough to get to play the map packs? IIRC, COD games take a long time before they release new maps and I'm usually bored with the game before they even release them. But, I guess if the game is great, it could be worth it, but you won't know how good it is or if you like it until it comes out.

They said something about DLC being more than just map packs too. I think they're releasing some kind of DLC every month, gun skins and whatnot. SHINY OBJECTS!!!

Actually we are short selling our house, so I figured I would spend a little extra money now because I may not have it in a couple of months. Then I can use the games to distract myself while we are hunting for a rental. At least that is the plan.
