1 & 2 were horrible. And I have less respect for people who play those games

Diablo was the highest rated pc game in gamespot.com's history.

If you're looking for "depth" and character development in a game, I agree. But those games execute their goal of mindless bashing to perfection. They were both "pretty" games for their time and very streamlined.

I enjoyed both for a short time, but got a bit bored by the same old stuff.

Diablo 1 & 2 were roughly at the same level as many free flash games.

Compared to flash games today, that's true, but for their time, they had groundbreaking visuals and gameplay. I tend to like a little more depth to my games, but I can't deny that Blizzard put together some very pretty games.

I like Blizzard. I loved Warcraft 2 and Starcraft. I'll probably buy Starcraft 2.

Diablo 1 and Diablo 2 are terrible. The game is so epically shallow. It's got no redeeming value. It is little more then a clickfest/treasure hunt.

It's going to be exclusive to the PC. Blizzard rarely ever releases their games on consoles. Blizzard is going to single-handedly revive the PC gaming industry with their next 3 games. Everyone will be playing at least one of their 3 franchises once all three are released.

I think we get your point, others happen to like the games, I never played 1 but loved 2, so let us be happy, is that okay Debbie Downer?

Sucked. Not as bad as Diablo 1 & 2 mind you, but they butchered why everyone loved Starcraft. It appears they learned their lesson though and are going more towards SC with SC2. Which is why I'm likely to buy SC2.
