I challenge myself in the real world quite a bit, work my *** off. I just don't play video games for a challenge. But it's not that it's easy is the reason I like the game, it's due to it's EASE of use and fun..there is a difference, at least for me.
Sounds like Diablo isn't for you.

I love the fact that I can play this with my wife, she can jump in and out as needed, and if she dies, there's no real issue, she can just repair and just right back to me. Ease of use is a definite factor here. And it's fun.

You seen the cinematic after the first act?
The work on the girl was amazing. Whoever modeled her really understood the basic fundamentals of art, rather than just a maya/3d max/proprietary software modeling monkey..so damn impressed. Her animation was insane also. I hate whoever did that! Yes, it's because I'm jealous. lol

Yeah, the cinematics have always been good for Blizzard. The ones i've seen so far for D3 are very good though.

Think the balance is way off in hell mode, You literally spend 20-30+ minutes kiting champion packs, some even longer depending on affixes they spawn with. I'm level 59, I play with two other friends, in act IV hell we each died like 22 times and spent over 35mins kiting a champion pack because it spawned with terrible mods, lol.
In inferno difficulty people are just skipping stuff and farming butcher, I don't think thats what Blizzard intended, I think they wanted you killing the rare/champion packs. I think this game could use a few tweeks, the balance is very very off going from nightmare to hell and ridiculously off going into Inferno.

They really should give you something for surviving a certain amount of levels in hard core mode. Ok, I get it, it's hard core..you should lose your character when you die.
HOWEVER, you should at least have something to show for it if you achieve a certain level in hard core. Glorified graveyard you can visit with some video of your character downing bosses or something. Dying at level 1 and drying at level 60 means the same thing in hard core mode, and that doesn't make sense... For your trouble you also don't score better items in hard core mode either.
Lastly, the biggest bad *** monster that will kill you in hard core mode is blizzards servers or your isp...So if the monsters don't get you they certainly will, eventually. The longer(levels) you survive, the greater your ACCOUNT rewards should be in hard core. What rewards? I'm not sure, but it wouldn't take me long to think of something cool. This should be hard core.
And for the people that love to be abused you can make a "masochistic" Hard core mode that waste your time like they have now. The current system is flawed but it could be super cool. Until they make changes I'll never play the hard core mode in it's current state unless they make the risk reward worth it.

Actually since I got out of Act 1 things have sped up considerably.
Playing a Witch Doctor, currently level 25ish, and having a blast destroying legions of demons.
One thing I find curious however is that most of my runes make my skills worse as I level up and earn more of them. Not sure if the early runes I earn are a bit overpowered or what, but some skills I haven't changed in 15 or 20 levels.
Has anyone noticed that with the other classes as well?

I never played D2, so I'm not really sure how/if I'll like D3. At $60.00, it's a bit pricey for a gamble. I remember w/ Starcraft2, they had a downloadable demo. I wasn't able to find anything like that for D3. Anyone know if they have a playable demo that I can get a hold of?

Many Shuvs and Zuuls knew what it was to be roasted in the depths of the Slor that day, I can tell you!
