You guys ever find the best weapon in the game.......the MIRV???
It's a Fat Man that shoots 8 bombs at once.

No, I can never find enough mini-nukes to keep make even the fat boy worth carrying.

Completely hooked on this game. My problem is always carrying too many weapons. I am around a level 12 or 13 and can carry up to 240 lbs, but for some reason I always have 200lbs on me after I sell everything. What weapons do yall carry with you all the time? Me.. combat shotgun, auto 10mm, assault rifle, fat man, minigun, laser pistol, laser rifle, countless frags and mines, and more but I just can't think of them right now.

Get rid of the fat boy and the minigun, isn't that like 80 pounds?

How is that the best weapon in the game? What scenario could there possibly be to need 8 nukes?
Vengeance FTW

Close to it. I carry them in case I run across any super mutant behemoths, although I have only seen one, and that was part of the initial story line.

I've come across three and have always been able to get myself into a position to where I could take them out without them being able to get me. They are huge huge monsters and are limited in the areas they can access.

Yeah, me too. You never needed the nuke gun and I never carried it with me, too much wasted weight. The nuke guns was more for show than anything. How they didn't put more super mutant behemoths in the main story line in beyond me.

My second playthrough I loaded up with strength and Strong Back, and carried the Fat Man, Vengeance, Minigun and Missile Launcher, among the arsenal of necessary energy and small arms.
Sure, you don't need the nuke often, but when the time comes, it sure is nice to have.

Shotty, Lincolns repeater, sydneys 10mm, reservists rifle, blackhawk and frag or plasma grenades. Those heavy weapons I usually give to what ever lacky I have following me, though they rarely use em.

I rented Fallout 3 from blockbuster before I got Gamefly a few months ago. Didn't really enjoy it, but I was trying to rush through things to see if I actually would like to buy it. I think it might have ruined the experience somewhat.....so now with Gamefly its on the way to me and I'm gonna actually take my time playing it and give it another shot.

Oh no, you couldn't possibly enjoy it trying to plow through. In fact, I'm on my second play through, and I tried to just run through stuff real fast, and it was just awful.

Didn't read the whole thread but I rented Fallout 3 from Gamefly in December. I hadn't played the others in the series and went in kinda blind. I wound up putting almost 250 hours in the game over 3 months by the time I was 'done' and still feel like I left some stones unturned (was there some grand finale to the satelite dishes in the northwest?). I wound up buying it from Gamefly to play again. IMO great game but I'm the kind of player that enjoys exploring. There's a lot of little things to stumble upon in the Wasteland.
* That GOAT Test bug bit me too.
* I REALLY like the ability to switch from FPS to 3PS at will. Wish more games would do this.
* Terrible Shotgun = BEAST!
