not sure what happened last night but I was playin a game with lustmord and all of a sudden I get a"host disconnected" message right before a match and I ended up playing in a game with just me and 9 bots. but everything i did still counted

same thing happened to me- we were playing and then im ina game withy bots.

a few thoughts

and im not a huge GOW fan boy by any means)

1) dont like the respawm limit- just do it the old fashioned way with first team to reach a set number of kills

2) graphics are great- the gore and death animations are amazing and the detail on your character when you are zoomed in is incredible

3) the maps on the beta arent great; same layout just different venues- some form of arena then two side access paths for flanking along each side

4) the retro lance is wildy inaccurate and the bayonet charge is overpowered

5) pistols are virtually useless- saw one person use one all night.

6) its pretty fun regardless of the above.

the gorgon smg/pistol isn't as good as it was in gears 2 but it's still ok. the magnum is still beast though

am i the only one having a problem hearing people in this game?

some people i can barely hear.. others i see that they're talking but can't hear them at all. don't see any options to adjust in the menus

It's amazing how much more fun I'm having playing Mortal Kombat than this. So far Gears 3 is just like the other 2, everyone jumping around with a shotgun.

The 2 diff Horde Modes and the campaign will hold me captive for several months.
I really look forward to playing it with you guys this Fall.

I guess I'm one of the few that's really enjoying it so far. and I've never really enjoyed gears for the deathmatch/warzone game types. that's prob the only shooter where I prefer the objective game types. that and horde is awesome when playing with people you know

maybe I'm just not getting put in games with nothing but shotgunners.

They should rename this games multiplayer mode to Shotgun Circle Jerk.
