Agreed. But many of the quests were fun as heck, and the scenery was done well, IMO. It'll serve as a good distraction for me until D3 comes out (whenever that'll be).
-60 films worth of voice acting, fully voiced
-Anyone can rez the fallen, just walk over to them
-Anyone that rolls on loot and succeeds gets it, no fighting over loot drops
-Anyone that helps kill something gets full credit, no more groups kill stealing each others camps/mobs
-When youre out of health, you dont die, you enter a downed state, with some special, weaker abilities. If you successfully kill something while in this state, you regen to fully-alive state. Sounds cool~
-No dedicated healer, as that above video discusses. Everyone can offer some support. Your role can change wildly depending upon what weaponry/offhand items you have equipped and what skills you have selected.
-No monthly subscription, of course
Nothing is for sure, especially with mmos which are almost always letdowns, with a couple of notable exceptions. Looks fantastic so far. Hope this is a good'un

Some serious nerd discussion going on here, but the info is promising. I think it was part 2 that talked about open world pvp and leveling from pvp experience. Sidekicks!
The original Guild Wars has one the best pvp, if not the best pvp, system of any mmo game. Add open world to it and loot drop, oh snaps!
I'm probably going to start playing GW again if anyone is up for it, Zeetes Wheaties and Prancing Gance are my two primaries.

normally i'd agree but the original game was the same way. arenanet would throw out an alpha 2 day weekend here and there to give you a teaser, and the release kept getting pushed further back, but when it was all said and done, the game was actually better than promised. all of the expansions are well done.
as long as ncsoft doesn't interfere with the development, it should be a great game. i hope.
