That's all PS3 fans have to fall back on MGS4. It's been the same game every time since MGS for PS1, just the graphics are better. Is there an online multiplayer for MGS4? well, imagine that there is some crazy parallel universe where some people actually enjoy single-player games.....

and you obviously have not looked at the gameplay video for metal gear....either way, your comment about "the same game with better graphics" is laughable since your love your halo so much......it's still just a FPS.....

halo is the same as duke nukem but with better graphics......

Halo may be, but all the other great games for 360 arent. Plus, the replay value is obviously more in a multiplayer environment.

400 is for the lesser PS3 with no backwards compatability. If your gonna go with the PS3, and your already gonna be spending a lot whatever you choose, you should definitly kick in the extra money for the bigger HD and backwards compatability.

As for the 360, I wouldnt spend the 100 bucks on the adapter. I plugged mine straight into the modem for a better connection. I would put that extra 100 towards getting the Elite with the much bigger HD.

if he can find the 80g.....the guy at target said he isn't even getting the 80g machines anymore......only 40g....

No need for MGS4 to have an online as good as Halo or Gear when there is Resistance 2 coming out this year and will blow both those 2 out the water with its online. Last year 360 had the better line up I will give you taht but the PS3 line up is better this year.

I pretty sure you can still find them easily online if he is comfortable buying something so expensive online. If not, arent they about to come out with a 120-160 gig hd unit to replace the 80 gig at the same price? I could be wrong about that, but if its true I would wait on that one. Unless, of course he doesnt care about backwards compatibility. In my case Im getting the one with the large hd because of this. 40 gigs would be plenty of hd for me if it had backwards compatibility.

Dude, MGS 4 will be awesome. Dont forget the FF series and God of War among other PS3 exclusives. Im a 360 owner and have stated many times that, IMO, the 360 has much better exclusives right now and thats the reason I bought one before a PS3. That said, when the big PS3 exclusives start to hit Im not gonna be without a PS3 to play them on, and I'll still have games like Ninja Gaiden 2 and GoW 2 to look forward to on my 360. By the end of the year I think both systems will be pretty even in killer exclusives. Even my Wii, which I bought before any of the other systems this generation because I want to play the Nintendo exclusives, has finally started to deliver.

It's always in the future with sony, isn't it? Why can we never compare games at the same time? Oh that's right, because sony never has games worth comparing at the time --- they're always off in the distance.

Let me be unequivocal -- playstation has no games that 360 doesn't that are as good online as Halo or Gears. That's flat.

well you can credit that to the greed of M$.....they had to be the first next-gen console out there.....of course, we all know what this resulted in

they had a year headstart, so it stands to reason they would have more games at this point.....the quality of said games is simply a matter of personal preference
