You should be fine with that card, especially if its a desktop.

A couple notes from my previous beta experience, which was my first beta on this game btw: First the one battle ground aka warfront that I was able to take part in was pretty cool. It was your typical grab something and keep it away from the other team, etc. However while carrying the item (in this instance it was a fang) you continously lose health so you can;t just go hide with it. If you are a healer you can try to keep yourself healed while holding it, but will eventually run out of mana. If you have a personal healer they can try to keep you healed, but again a mana issue may arrive. You can also pass it to a teammate when you get low on health, or even just make sure you die close to a teammate so they can grab it. Very interesting concept. I really enjoyed it although I was face down taking mud naps alot because at level 13 the 18's and 19's seemed to be REALLY strong..lol.
The other little tidbit for pve was cool too imo: If you are killing a bunch of mobs fairly close together, you loot one mob to get the loot off of all mobs, in other words you don't have to loot each mob one at a time. Trying to loot the huge pile of scorpions in uldaman on wow still gives me nightmares..lol.
Oh and one note on the rifts. When you enter an active rift area, a clickable box comes up on the top of your screen to join a public group.
I am sure there are some other nice innovations in the game. My gametime on last beta was limited though. The one that starts this friday will be better for me and afford me the opportunity to play more as it runs through the weekend. Will be interesting to see how the servers hold up on a busy weekend rather than during the week.
BTW if anyone else is going to try the beta and wants to hook up: I am Plop, a dwarven cleric (Shaman/Justicar/Druid) on the PvP server Spitescar. I think I finished last beta as a level 15.
Late.

I'm sure I'll mainly be on PvE And I actually don't have any desktop's plugged in. Just a server, a little Ubuntu nettop I put together last year and my laptop. I've been good about restricting my gaming to xBox mostly so it's probably been about 6 or 7 years at least since I built a gaming machine (it was when Morrowind was reasonably new). With the time I've spent gaming I could never quite justify the investment.

The looting one mob and getting them all at once sounds like a cool idea. I've been solo grinding Steamvaults in WoW with my 85 warrior. I can pull about a 1/3 of the dungeon at a time before I AOE them down. Looting the pile of bodies one by one is the most annoying part.

Servers are down, but it's been fun in Beta 6 so far on PvE. Only got poached/screwed once or twice. Works out ok going solo through level 7.

I'm enjoying it as well.
It's most likely the most polished beta I've ever played in.
The music and sound effects need some major work though. To be blunt, they are terrible. The graphics are a mixed bag. Cranked up the environments are gorgeous. Now the character models are a little dissapointing-- kinda like lotro, they are a bit lifeless and lack the artistic appeal of WOW or DCU.
The questing is smart and actually a little more challenging than I thought it would be--Which keeps it interesting. The interface is wonderful and the combat is fun. I did a rift and had a blast.
This is going to be an extremely polished mmo on release.. anyone that likes the genre should try it out. It's an encouraging sign that the devs appear to listen to their future customers also.

What server are you guys playing on? I am on the PvP server Spitescar. I am still undecided as to whether to stick with the pvp server when game launches or go pve. So far I haven't been ganked a single time. Not even an attempted ganking. Loving the warfront aspect though.

I was playing on a server named silkweb I believe.
I'm not sure I'll roll on a pvp server at launch due to faction imbalance.
The problem is the defiant character models are so much stronger visually. Combine that with the habit of people rolling the dark side on pvp servers? Things can get out of hand here.
Besides that I like to roll classes that are really good support classes..these kinda of set-ups do not go well in open world pvp solo...considering I left my guild connections back in wow my support class set up will be useless in pvp open world all alone, but it will be great in pvp INSTANCED groups along with pve dungeons.
So I'll be rolling on a pve server. If any of you guys have can pick one(pve server and defiant or guadian side) before launch I'll join that one.(that is if you have any interest in a pve server)

I was playing a tank most of the weekend but luckily I decided to try out the bard...the combo below really fun..
Bard/riftwalker/nightblade here
I went bard because I want to be a support class, and I'll go deep in that tree..
Riftwalker along with it just for the planes shift(pretty much a blink)
And nightblade for the 15%combo damage boost.
Cool thing is the riftwalker blink you get just for choosing the class, no points needed. The nightblade combo for 15% more damage is the first selection in the tree..the rest I can put in bard.

Sup dudes,
I didn't know there was a sub-forum for video games until I searched for Rift class combos and saw this link.
Anyway, I'm running with around 2-3 guys from Baton Rouge and 5-6 friend in California once the server hits. I'm not sure what server we'll play on, but I'll post it if anyone is looking for a crew. We're of mixed experience, but probably geared more towards above average in our addictions/skill levels.
So far I've only played 1 day of beta and got a necro/lock/dom to 15.
I have no complaints, but I have no other characters to reference him to.
I'm about to unlock a neat self healing ability that seems to really open up the class, so, I may cruise a little more after that.
PVP - Necro does fine - you get lots of points for killing people since you can spam insta cast dots on everyone and get credit for kills. Pet is pretty easy to control and useful. You go down easy, but not too easy.
Rifts - Necro build kinda sucks for rift points so far, little AE and things go down too quick to get points on DOTS, but that may change.
I'm looking for really sick class combos if anyone has recommendations. Necro/Warlock/Dom seems to make sense and allows me to squirrel a mob and fight hte other 1 or 2, so its functional.

The chloromancer combo works well with mage I find. Those heals..
I'm actually caught between 2 choices for my main..my bard build(linked above) or the chloromancer/necro or chloromancer/elementalist combo.
I'm thinking maybe go either pure healer in chloromancer with a side of necro or elementalist just for some pet abilites.(and of course to get the pet)
Or I can go a solo beast build..just enough chloromancer for nice healers(but cant mainheal group) and split the other points into elemental or necro.

Yeah I'm reading a lot of positive advice about chloro as a 3rd for the necro/warlock to boost heals. I'm trying to think down the line when a quicik CC spell may be more beneficial if you have a group healer with you, but who knows.
My friends are raving about reaver/offensive warrior combos along with some of the debuff/healer types really shining.
I got into the beta Friday night and my girlfriend was over the rest of the weekend, so I'm fiending to load it up again and try a few more things before release.
