I dunno, waiting for the PS3 to live up to its potential? To its hype? To all the things Sony claimed it would be? Its almost like the majority of PS3 owners have been brainwashed into loving the thing unconditionally since the PSX.

dude, i bought my ps3 to play video games.....not for Home, not for a blu-ray player, and certainly not for potential or hype

i bought it for video games....on that premise alone the ps3 has delivered.....

i am not brainwashed and i like my xbox 360 just fine.....

at the end of the day, it's for gaming...bottom line...and i use the crap out of it

Just curious, what games have you tried and disliked?

I thought you said it was to see Norbit in bluray? Especially the waterpark scene?

I never owned a PS2, so no brainwashing here... I only had an Xbox during that time... I didn't have time for video games during college so I barely played it as it were.

I actually got a 360 first because it was cheaper. I like both systems though but if I had to pick one right now it'd be the PS3.

I guess what im saying is that i've been largely underwhelmed by the Playstation 3 where games are concerned. Now Blu-Ray, thats a different story. I love me some Blu-Ray.

and i guess comparatively speaking you would expect the ps3 to be more like the ps2, the ps2 owned the game market, tons of games to play, the ps3 not so much..

Remember when MGS4 was supposed to move systems? What happened? Taking a PS2 game and, "updating it" isn't going to move systems. Sony needs to innovate... Like, now. They need a game that pushes the PS3 to it's boundaries and further. Do that, Sony, and I'll be the first in line to get a PS3.

However, I'm not dropping a lot of money for rehashes of old PS2 titles. Don't get me wrong, I loved God of War 1 and 2. I thought Killzone was an alright game as well. But, Sony really needs a hit like a crackhead needs one.

It's not that I've tried and disliked anything. There is just nothing that gets me excited about the PS3. I have a PS2 and played a lot of the same games that they are just continuing on the PS3. There was no Gears on XBOX there was no Bioshock. XBOX took what they had with the 360 to actually create new games that were huge hits. I mean Metal Gear has been around on the PS since 1998....time for something different, really.

By the way I'm not a XBOX fanboy, I still own a PS2 and a PSP (that I adore). These are just my opinions.

Yeah i wouldnt say that they just updated it. It was a continuation of the story. The gameplay is basically an update though.
