The character models look lifeless and the animation is boring and as widge would say, "wonky". Looks like they need to quicken up some scenes in the animation. The movement appears flat. The art design is meh.
It's concerning that this is a trailer to hype the game and not actual gameplay, yet the animation is kinda bad even for gameplay standards. It's like going out on a blind date and the girl has a fantastic make-up job along with a sexy dress- yet she still appears kinda ugly. It makes you shudder to think about what she'll look like rolling out of bed.
Even if some of that was gameplay, still bad, kinda like the chic with makeup and the nice dress, but still ugly.
What is going on at Bioware? After looking at that vid(and a few others), I woudn't be surprised if there is gonna be some major changes on the swtor team soon. My guess, this game gets delayed and people start getting replaced on that team.
It's embarrassing for Star Wars and Bioware to release a vid like that. That looked decent maybe 12 years ago or so for a normal game. It certainly looks terrible for todays standards especially considering Bioware and the Star Wars name is involved.

I don't really take issue with the graphics that much because its all gameplay footage from a MMO anyways. All MMO's are crap as far as actual gameplay graphics and this is no different.

It's not so much the bad graphics rather than the lack of artistic appeal.
WOW's graphics are certainly nothing special technically, but they have a great style. Same goes with plants vs Zombies.
Every game needs strong visual appeal..whether it be a technical masterpiece like crysis or have a strong style(like pvz or wow, or magicka) I'm seeing none of that here and it's concerning. Especially when you consider the pedigree of Bioware combined with Star Wars.
I wonder who is leading this team? I can't imagine it being the same guy that did ME 2 for Bioware.

well, considering that guy is doing me3...
its a diff team
but, i fail to see the prob, its an MMORPG,
that being said, I do love Mass Effect series, thoroughly enjoyed kotor, jade empire and such.. but recall bioware didn't do kotor2, and kotor2 as arguably much better than 1, as far as the gameplay, quirkiness, and such, .. mass effect, they learned a lot from teh inventory system in 1 on the 360 and was much improved on in 2, and even on the pc version of 1.
As blizzard is still learning things and adjusting things in wow, expect a great deal of advancement in adjustments from bioware on this title.
once i found out how the combat system was gonna work, i scratched it off my list.
that's the 1 thing i'm bothered about , not necessarily the questing combat aspect, but the whole same tank/dps/healer setup.
still probably get just for the questing,
This game is getting slammed hard by most people who have been invited to the private testing. I mean really hard like on Final Fantasy 14 level.
good, that'll make it a better game.. bioware, as proven with past games does listen to complaints on things, some things may be set in stone, but they will adjust to make it better, or at least more acceptable.
