Same thing happened to me. But my security questions where already done, etc. I sent in a inquiry to the development team. They said that because it was such a high volume weekend half the group would be testing on Friday and my account would work Saturday, but it still didn't work on Saturday or Sunday. I know someone else that got an invite that was able to play Friday night, Saturday, and Sunday.
Here was the email they sent me:
"Greetings!
I am Protocol Droid M0-T0, Human Cyborg Relations.
Thank you for contacting us regarding your play button being greyed out.
We realize that you are very excited about your opportunity to test Star Wars:
The Old Republic, and appreciate your eagerness to start playing.
For this testing weekend, we will be letting testers into the game in two major
"waves" to help us simulate our Early Game Access plans. The first wave were
allowed access to the game on Friday, November 25th at 10AM CST (4:00PM London,
5:00PM Paris/Berlin). The second wave of testers will be allowed to access the
game on Saturday, November 26th at 10:00AM CST (4:00PM London, 5:00PM
Paris/Berlin).
If you are testing the game this weekend, and your "Play" button is currently
greyed out, this is not an error, you are simply a part of the second wave of
testers. After your access begins, you will be able to enter the game client via
the launcher as normal.
We apologize for any misunderstanding, and we look forward to seeing you in-game
over the weekend.
Galactic Support is our specialty…
Sincerely,
Protocol Droid M0-T0
Star Wars: The Old Republic Customer Service"
Tho I was not to worried, I was playing Skyrim on my down time, and have to work 3-11 Saturday and 7 - 3 on Sunday. SO the weekend testing really doesn't fit into my schedule anyways (Monday and Tuesday or my days off). But it would have been nice to test it prior to spending 60 bucks on my copy to see even I even liked it.
