If you got a top of the line computer rig like what most of you people have been talking about, you should probably realize that the games to take advantage of the hardware haven't even started development yet.
Just because most of us prefer to play console games, that doesn't mean we're illiterate when it comes to computers. Personally, I find console controls to be much more user friendly, which is why I only play PC games with controllers. They happen to be much more comfortable in my opinion.
I use them too, for some things, but that's fairly irrelevant.
I'll tell you what, tho.
If someone's actually interested, I'll come up with a way to turn their computer into a gaming rig for less than the cost of a new 720.

I'm actually quite computer literate and have no desire to build a gaming rig
Personal opinion; PC rig will always out perform consoles.
Consoles are just more user friendly. Meaning people will spend the money for ease of use and not need a PhD in IT.
I only need to upgrade my video card every 3 years. Cost~60$. My computer just turned 6!
Buying a new console every three years is ~200+$
You can build a nice rig for around 500$ that will last 6+ years.
No game out there comes close to maxing the cpus of today. The video card is the bottleneck of performance.
Best part, I can download emulators and play any game out there. Even the old atari games!!

I factor in the cost of selling my old card but even then I'm out at least $200. 560ti now so I'm waiting on the next gen as it handles everything out there just swell.
The important thing is that I have a faster system than Buzd. That's all I really care about. I've created a war but he doesn't seem to be fighting back. It's quite irritating.
