Im more worried about the Tampa Bay game, but only because I gave up 20 points and bet my car.

In all seriousness... I have a bad feeling about this game, particularly with the lack of run stopping ability we've shown the last two weeks. I really think this game could be lost if our Saints don't play mistake free ball.
Just sayin'

The same thing is gonna happen when we play the Rams. It's just the nature of the beast. If we win, then we were suppose to win, but if we lose they look like "geniuses". Win/win for the media types.

There's always going to be someone that wants to buck the trend. Even if we win the Super Bowl with a 19-0 record, there will be people that said that our schedule was too easy. So don't hold your breath waiting for people to approve of us across the board. There are also NFL fans that are beginning to dislike the Saints' success. It happens.

I totally agree. I think some of us need to humble ourselves for this game and not underestimate the Panthers. This game will be extremely tough.

Ha! One week they say we're unbeatable in the Dome, then the next week they all pick against us... in the Dome. Too funny... the media folks are so fickle.

People understand that it is highly highly highly highly highly highly highly unlikely that the saints will go undefeated so stop complaining when someone pick the Saints to lose. Who cares if we go 16-0,15-1,14-2,13-3,12-4, all I want is enough wins for home field advantage.

The Panthers played well last week and have owned the Saint's for three years.
THIS is a different Saint's team. Carolina never faced the Greer Porter Duo. Jake has to worry about getting a Sharper image on ESPN highlights. Our front 7 are dinged up but the backups are good.
Saint's go back to double digit win and 40+ points!!

If this were a playoff game, none of these clowns would be picking the Panthers. They think the Saints are going to get complacent. No one in their right minds, who's seen both teams play each week would pick the Panthers.

I don't see this as being a trap game at all. The Saints are well aware of their history against Carolina and want to control their division. They have incredible motivation to play at a high level in this game.

I hope Payton can finally beat the Panthers in the Superdome. We need this game guys. I would rather win this one than the St.Louis game. For one it is a division game and we haven't beatin these guys in the DOME. Us fans got to bring our A game again. We don't want Payton or no one saying that the fans wasn't in the game.
Bring on the Panthers and let's get the DOME rockin.

I don't know so much that this is a trap game. It's not like we are looking ahead to the next opponent.
But I can understand the picks of Carolina. In fact it won't surprise me if more of the so called "Experts" pick them this week.
The Saints have been sloppy the last 2 weeks and hopefully SP can right that ship.
The Saints are on a short week after a tough division battle.
On the other hand:
Carolina is coming off a big win too, though so they could have a letdown.
Jake Delhomme sucks.

not so much "expect" but dont be surprised. If we play like we have the past two weeks with turnovers, improper defensive fits etc we will be hard pressed to win this one.
They are going to run the ball. They are going to give it to Williams and Stewart 30 or more times. They only way they dont is for us to get back to scoring early and often, make some plays on defense and give us additional opportunities to score.
I dont like the 3:05 start either.

I also don’t know why they are calling this a trap game. Trap game is usually against a team that you have beaten year in and year out or a team that is awful coming off a big win. Plus Carolina have own the Saints since 2000 and Jake has never lost in the Dome. If we call Atlanta a big win then what were the other six wins, small wins. The deeper the Saints get into the season each game will get bigger and closer the achieving the goal of getting to the Super bowl. The Saints still have a long way to go.

I guess the rest of the schedule according to these "experts" with the exception of the patriots & falcons is one big trap. I wonder how many times these "experts" have picked against the Saints? My theory is these "experts" are doing it quite often so when or IF the Saints lose they'll say you see I told ya!! "Look at how smart I am."
Saints will blow out the panthers and may break the 50 mark this week.

Every week is a potential loss. Every week is a trap game. Our record means nothing. Our stats mean nothing. We have not "played anybody" (oh wait...they finally stopped with that excuse). We have too many turn overs. We have been "exposed". Our injuries are catching up with us.
Whatever. Same tune, different week. Trust me, we'll here the same tripe next week when we are 8-0.
It's tough playing the Goliath role, isn't it??

Just to reiterate what I have seen this far:
Trap game, why are people saying this?
Jake Delhomme has never lost in superdome.
I believe I have proof why:
2008 Car at NO (Car wins 33 to 31)*
2007 Car at NO (Car wins 16 to 13)*
2006 Car at NO (Car wins 31 to 21)*
2005 Car at NO (Car wins 27 to 10)
2004 Car at NO (Car wins 32 to 21)
2003 Car at NO (Car wins 23 to 20 in OT)
2002 Car at NO (Car wins 10 to 6)
2001 Car at NO (NO wins 27 to 23) YEAH!!!
2000 Car at NO (NO wins 24 to 6)
* Sean Payton Head Coach
I will note however Carolina is 3-4 this year:
They have beaten the REDSKINS by 3 and TAMPA BAY by 7.
Only quality win was beating the CARDINALS last week by 14
They have lost to EAGLES, FALCONS, COWBOYS, and BUFFALO

First thing is that Jake threw for only 90 yds last week against the Cardinals and Warner's been playing like he needs to be benched because he has been off all season . Plus the most inconsistent team is year are the Cardinals so I can't call it a quality win .
Anyways if you so called Saints fans think this is a trap game and expect the Saints to lose on Sunday then whats the point of being a fan of the Saints .
I believe the Saints will win on Sunday because this is a different team and a different year .

Also the Saints had Gary Gibbs as a defensive coordinator back then . I think the Saints really don't know how good they can be yet .

I have figured it out and I have come up with the rest of the Saints trap games.
Carolina
@ St. Louis
@ Tampa Bay
New England
@ Washington
@ Atlanta
Dallas
Tampa Bay
@ Carolina
Division Playoffs
NFC Championship
Super bowl
The rest of the season is one big trap.

I agree that Jake did not look good against the CARDINALS. Also, the only reason I said that this was a quality win is because they only beat 2 other teams, neither of which is good.
Do I think that we will lose this SUNDAY. HECK NO! I was simply stating the reason as to why people are saying this a "TRAP" Game. I think anyone can beat anybody on any given Sunday (I know that sounds cliche). That is why u always bring your A Game EVERY WEEK! I like the changes we have made this year and I do believe we have a different team and GW is a big part of it. I also believe we have a different mindset this year.
As far as a so called Saints Fan, I beg to differ. I have been following them from the moment I starting throwing a football in my backyard with my brother.
I guess since I don't post on here every second of the day makes me a less Saints fan than you.

I can understand some of the experts picking against us.
To anyone who has followed football for 10 years or more, the signs of an upset
are there. CAR is playing better and better. We have been playing worse and worse.
8-0 is pretty rare, and a first for the Saints. CAR has owned us. We have a few key
injuries. CAR's pass rush is coming on. We are now a "trophy" win. Every team will play
their hardest to knock us off. Based on the above signs, I actually favor CAR in this
game.
Our defense will have to play batter than we've played the past 2 weeks, or we'll lose
the game. I'm sure gg knows this, and will try to wake them up.

As long as we remain undefeated every game on the schedule is a trap game, so I wish people would quit with the trap game comments.

They are calling it a trap game.
That's why the experts are jumping on board for an upset.
Plus Carolina has our number lately. Plus we're coming off a big win on a Monday night against our most hated rival.
