100 reasons why the Saints will win the Superbowl
We're all bored and the offseason is getting off the ground and training camp is coming up slowly but surely.
Let's see if we can get 100 reasons why the Saints will win the Superbowl in 2009. If we can I'll make it 200 and then 300 etc. and see how long we can keep going.
You get the point. Here's reason number 1:
Drew Brees

The greatest QB in the NFL tore defenses a new one for fun last year. And he didn't even have a 1000 yard receiver on his way to 5000 yards, a feat achieved for only the second time ever.
There is no one more perfectly suited or committed to leading us to the Lombardi.
Who's got number 2?

- Drew Brees
- Gregg Williams and his aggressive new D
- We finally have a reliable kicker in Garret Hartley
- Addition by subtraction, no more KK or Josh Bullocks
- A real 1-2 punch with Pierre Thomas and Reggie Bush
- Shockey and Miller both on form
- Our first game is at home against an 0-16 team with a rookie QB
- Our DBs are almost unrecognisable and vastly improved
- Worst to First
- The Ol' incredibly optimistic/pessimistic Saints fanbase
- Because whodatdabeaux just said Who Dat
- Tacoes
- Sedrick Ellis will be a beast just like his tattoo says
- The Janitor is on our side
- Darren Sharper is one of the best safeties ever and has come here for a superbowl ring
- Karma owes us some big time production from Grant and Smith.
- To make sure Dan Morgan knows what he missed
- Anthony Hargrove and his other personalities will be destroying QBs. How can you block 8 different people at once?
- The Dome will be exploding with noise and the Saints fans will be as loyal and rowdy as always.
- The team knows the fan's dedication and will repay it.
- Our HC is actually competent, and our QB consistant, for the first time in years.
- Jon Vilma
- We are now, and will stay, healthy and in great shape.
- The Cowboys are owed another butt kicking....
- What city better for a superbowl parade than NOLA?
- Creative offense + Aggressive Defense = Wins
- We need to get some world champion banners inside the dome to match the new skin.
- We have the greatest offense in the history of the team, and one which can and will put itself among the all time great offenses with an outstanding season.
- Karma
- No season killing Chicago game.
- Roman Harper will flourish in GW's new scheme.
- Sean Payton will be more dedicated to the team, and spend more time in the facility, because his house smells like dead things.
- We really need to test the SR servers, and see what it's like to be on a super bowl winning team's forum.
- There is no way Jake Delhomme will beat us.
- Buddy D wants to cross dress in heaven.
- Dedication from the start, from all team members.
- Because we WANT and NEED them to do it and make our countless SR refreshing worthwhile.
- We have secret weapons who no one will have expected to achieve anything for us, but they will step up and be the difference.
- Reggie Bush will remain healthy all year and FINALLY have that breakout season.
- Easy schedule with some guarenteed Ws
- Great offseason participation - started as we mean to proceed.
- Special teams have way improved, and poised to help us dominate the field position aspect of games.
- No more losing games due to a lacklustre secondary.
- Bill Johnson is coaching the DL, and will be an improvement over Ed Orgeron.
- Curtis Johnson is one of, if not the, best position coaches in the league and will have our WRs in tip top condition.
- Division rivals have taken steps back over the offseason, while we have come on leaps and bounds.
- Usama Young will fit right in and play well as a safety.
- Defense will now be built around the personnel and their strengths, not a system as such.
- Destiny.
- Meachem will finally make a valued contribution.
- Broussard Bullet will use his jedi mind tricks.
- Offense can win championships (see 49ers, Rams, Cowboys)
- 'Because, for the first time ever, the Saints have competent coaches on both sides of the ball, talented players on both sides of the ball, and a core of players who know how to and are used to winning. Almost every player on this team has played in an conference championship game and a few in Super Bowls. They know what it takes and this will be the year they put it all together.' Exactly this from duckjr78.
- This is the year for black and gold championships.
- We've spent so much time trying to get there, when we do, it'll be a breeze.
- Thomas Morestead will be pinning offenses deep.
- The extra second that our improved DBs will make QBs take to read their options will be the second it takes for our speedy new DL additions to kill them.
- For the first time in years, as well as belief, there is confidence, and the good kind of swagger about us.

6. Jeremy Shockey and Billy Miller. Might just be the best duo at TE in the NFL.

with Duece, PT & Reggie, I thought last year, it would be battle of the running backs. Now this year, since I dont think our RB's will do anything, hope I am shocked. I don't see Bell doing anything.

Off the top of my head:
Dallas: Jason Witten/Martellus Bennett
San Diego: Antonio Gates/Brandon Manumaleuna
Tennessee: Bo Scaife/Alge Crumpler
TB: Kellen Winslow/Jerramy Stevens
Chicago: Greg Olsen/Desmond Clark
Denver: Tony Scheffler/Daniel Graham.
All deserve mention.
