From the locker room: New Orleans Saints offensive tackle Zach Strief
Full Story – Examiner.Com
After missing five games with an MCL injury, New Orleans offensive tackle Zach Strief returned on Sunday and was part of a dominant blocking effort in the Saints' 27-16 win against the Tampa Bay Bucs. The Saints rushed for 195 yards and did not allow a sack, rebounding from a dismal performance against the St. Louis Rams when quarterback Drew Brees was sacked six times. After the game, Strief talked about the turnaround, his health and his frustration when he could not play:
How does the knee feel? Were you 100 percent?
“The knee feels good. No one’s 100 percent, but I didn’t have any pain. If anything, it was getting back into the swing of the game. You’re taking 30 reps in practice and getting 70 in a game, so there are some differences there, but all in all I felt good and strong. That’s the biggest thing coming off of an injury is making sure that it feels good again.
