Start times for three New Orleans Saints games moved back 10 minutes by NFL policy change
Full Story – Nola.Com
The NFL is moving back the kickoff times 10 minutes for afternoon games that are part of doubleheader network coverage this season. The change means three New Orleans Saints games - Sept. 30 at Green Bay, Nov. 25 vs. San Francisco and Dec. 9 at New York Giants - will now start at 3:25 p.m. instead of 3:15 p.m. The 3:05 p.m. start time for the Oakland Raiders game on Nov. 18 is not impacted.
The move was made so television viewers would not miss the start of the second game when the early game runs long.
Here is the NFL's release announcing the change Thursday:
"The kickoff time for Sunday late afternoon doubleheader games on CBS and FOX will be moved from 4:15 PM ET to 4:25 PM ET, the NFL announced today. The 4:05 PM ET kickoff time for games not on the doubleheader network will remain unchanged.
