New Orleans Saints, New England Patriots practice starts late after coaches attend funeral

The start of the Saints and Patriots practice was delayed 30 minutes because members of the Saints' staff and Patriots Coach Bill Belichick were late returning from the funeral service of Philadelphia Eagles Coach Andy Reid's son.
Belichick joined interim Saints coach Joe Vitt, defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo, secondary coach Ken Flajole and general manager Mickey Loomis on Saints owner Tom Benson's private jet to fly to and from the service.
The contingent was among 900 people, including NFL commissioner Roger Goodell, who packed a Mormon church in a Philadelphia suburb for the funeral service of Garrett Reid.
